I'd like to see a good shooting night from Roderick before we head to Lexington.

Whoops wrong vowel, but either way we need to beat the crap out of these guys. Someone add up the margin of victory of their 4 game winning streak against us...that is our mark to exceed tonight.
16 to tie. 17 to win. :)

They didn't shoot well in either of their first two games. Just 32% overall and 17% from three vs UCF; a bit better (34 and 31) vs Kentucky. They do well from the line -- 22 of 24 -- so we can't afford to give them freebies.

Fun stat: Ohio trailed a total of 1:12 in the second half of the first two games this season, all in the Belmont game.

CatsUp right on the money. Boy we owe these guys. We're 4-6 against Bobby "Zack" Morris all time. 0-4 on the road. 4-2 at home. Though we've lost the last 2 at home and 4 straight over-all (by a grand total of 16 pts), and lost 5 of the last 6 total. Last victory was in 1993.

Maybe John Groce needed to stop scheduling them on January 2nd? Just a thought. Time to exact some revenge, exorcise some demons. I dunno - get out the live chicken. Find a way to be 3-0.

Key tonight is for you and your friends to have fun and be loud. The rest will follow at some point. Journey starts with a step. Come on Green!!!!

Best of luck to ya on the student section! Might seem obvious, but don't shame people into joining. People are there to have fun, not get yelled at by their own die hards.

I won't, I know some people will ultimately be shy and that's ok! I know though that we will be loud and proud.

Love what BRod brings but damn, he’s in that shooters slump. Find him some easy buckets and that rim will look a little bigger

BVP Carter and Sears. 12-18 from the field. 30 pts 14 reb 2 ast.
Rest of team?
3-15 from field. 9 pts 4 reb 4 ast.

Really need to find production from our 4th and 5th guys.

BRod can't buy a bucket right now.

And we're still up 8.

We only shot 38% from the floor against Cleveland St. but did OK because we also shot 38% from three and played great D. We are shooting 41% so far today. We will need to do better.

Carter- what a game. Loved the block straight up in the air and saving the ball to himself. And his midrange shot was superb tonight. Not so much from 3, but a solid double double and a great put-back dunk. Also nice to see Roderick turn it on in the second half. Feels great to finally beat those guys!

After 3 games this team has shown us that they can make the necessary in game adjustments, based upon the competition, to take control and maintain a lead.
Carter is playing better than I remember him a few years ago. He does many intangibles, blocks, rebounds, seems to be at the right spot at the right time and perhaps his best attribute is his court awareness.
It appears that Boals has settled in on a player rotation of 9 guys. Tonight all 9 scored.

Don't see how he doesn't and it's the best thing for him. No minutes with no Wilson has to equal a redshirt for Granger.

If Sears' early season three point shooting is legit, this team is going to be very good.

That 9 man rotation is looking good. I think that they all know it is the plan just maximizes their performance when the 12-8 min to go squad comes in...and that any one of them could be called on at any moment depending on game situations...

Rewatching this one and I just love the energy Towns can bring off the bench. Such a springy, rangy guy that is a perfect fit.

I agree. I figured Boals told Towns to put in the work and Sam did over the offseason because he was the one I wondered would transfer for greener pastures. The fact that he stuck around shows that he is a part of our future. He's exactly the guy we need against teams like Kentucky.

#35 Winston drained a sideline three near the OHIO bench and immediately got rung up for a technical and a spot on the end of his teams bench in half one--anyone know what transpired?

I so enjoyed the game at CSU that I drove down to watch this one too. Oh, and hey, why not take in the Senior Night tonight for a Bobcat double header!

I liked the Convo atmosphere and have to imagine that MAC teams will enjoy seeing the crowd that they don't see elsewhere.

I also noticed that there is ZERO room on the sidelines of the court. Players checking in are forced to obstruct near the table. Reminds me of the old HS gyms where the opposing fans would grab the hair on my legs when inbounding from the sideline. Once had a soda poured in my shoe! But it may have just been me bumping into a fan as the front rows of those gyms put the fans feet right on the black line. I wonder if some high schools didn't have three point shots because their courts weren't large enough and they hadn't yet passed the levy to build a new school with larger gym?

I know Roderick scored some big second half points, but mostly from the foul line (7/7 there). Through 3 games he's only 5/20 from 3 and 8/31 from the floor overall. 1/6 last night from 3. We're a pretty balanced team but I feel like the only way we hang with a team like Kentucky is if the deep ball is falling for him. We need him to get back on track.

Solid win over Bobby Mo, feels good to get a win against those guys. Hopefully they'll rack up some wins and that W will look better as the season goes on.

Not a particularly good shooting night (except at the free throw line) and we still comfortably survived. 26 three pointers, against a team I felt we could move inside against pretty well, seems a bit heavy to me. But, we won the turnover and rebound battle easily to make up for being the poorer shooting team.

Five guys in double figures. As great of scorers BVP/Carter are, I still think Sears may end up being our leading scorer. His shot from any distance right now just looks smooth. Still a few too many turnovers, I thought he had 6-7 but apparently only 4. But made up for it with some awesome steals too.

We seem to be settling into a hockey-like line approach...Clayton/Towns/Schmock played together in both halves. I'm not in a position to question coach, and I like what I've seen from those guys...all I'm saying is I am nervous during those stretches.

I am enjoying the straight platoon of Miles & Lunden. Lunden had a great night and Miles couldn't buy a bucket. It is nice to have them both in and out with fresh legs.

Student section was dead, crowd in general much lower energy than Belmont game.

If ever there was going to be a trap game this year, this had the makings of it. Two big wins last week, a MASSIVE game coming up on Friday, and an 0-2 team coming into the Convo. I don't think that was by any means our cleanest game, but beating any team by double-digits is always nice. We continue our run of playing with the lead almost exclusively in the second half. That'll be tested Friday for sure.
