I can't remember the last time we were ever favored by more than 20 points.
I would expect that the bench gets a lot of playing time in this game.

We all thought that before our tilt against mighty Concordia too.

As with Concordia, in which we failed miserably to achieve, the goal is to have tons of minutes from the bench. If we can't do that today I will be disappointed.

The university should have sent free tickets to all the local high schools that are still in session to come to this one. Would have been great to have prospective students see the campus and experience a game...It's gonna be an empty Convo today.

I assumed this would be a field trip game for area schools. Is it not?

Roderick bangs a three on the first possession then Carter caps a three point play. I don't hear kids screaming, so no field trips? Why the heck is this at noon?
Anyone got a Periscope in the building?

Well, I’m a local teacher in school and I’m currently watching Christmas movies in class.

They hit Two 3 pointers in the last minute and it's looking like another failed opportunity of a casual bench heavy 2nd half.

And I thought my school district was the only one in Ohio in school today. Most were done for Christmas break last Friday.

What is interesting is that our bench performs. Clayton is deadly. Schmock is gaining confidence and Ezuma and Towns are showing up too. I think OUr starters get tired. My one complaint with Boals is the minutes he uses.

Every game seems to be a grind. Not too much spark showing to me.
You live by the three and you die by the three.
May be the wake up call we really needed

Game should not be this close, but positives are there. Sears continues to be great. Roderick 3-6 from 3.

Yet ANOTHER game where our opponent out-shoots us by a wide margin but we win the turnover/foul battle to excape somewhat comfortably. So many of these type of games this season.
Perhaps a summary to put a bow on the non-con package - We don't have the outside shooting to blow inferior opponents out, but we have the defense to contend with most anyone.
We gotta start hitting more shots. And I'm sorry but I think it is time for JC to stop shooting threes almost entirely.

Man, he’s not as good of a passer as Preston or Cooper (yet), but I think Sears is already a better scorer than both as a Sophomore, and he had a very strange Freshman year. This kid is special, hopefully he’ll be joining JP in the league. I just hope he takes another year before he does.

Once again I think we played down to our competition.
Sears is our best player. Period. He took it on himself to insure the W.

USCU came back when they stopped fouling (or at least when the refs didn't call them). They had 17 fouls at halftime but I think only four in the first ten or 12 minutes of the second half. Then came the technical(?) and suddenly they were fouling again. We wound up with a 28-8 edge on fouls, 33-6 margin on FTs, 26-6 difference on made FTs.

We looked like a very good shooting team early on. BVP is now struggling the past three games.
If we let Concordia and Upstate hang around then there is no reason to think that we easily can put away Eastern and Western coming up and we might be an underdog at Akron.

We keep doing this and have avoided getting burned, so far. On a positive note, we always seem to find a way to win.
