Despite what Russ said on the TV broadcast last night, SC Upstate did not lose their last game "by 100" in reality the score was 96-52.

They are 2-8 with a 4 point win over South Carolina State and a blowout win over (cough-cough) "Saint Andrews" who might be the "Washington Generals" of low level NAIA college hoops.

I swore I saw a webcast for this one. Looking forward to an earful of field trippers (I assume) on the radio stream.

Not a good team at all. May be the worst of our non-conference slate. Stats show a team that doesn't do anything all that well on offense except kind of getting to the line, but not all that great once they get there. No rebounding force. It would be nice to truly clobber a D1 team before MAC play begins.

It's not listed On OhioBobcats.com website although they are slow to update that. Also couldn't find it in ESPN+ listings.

But ESPN+ won't bother to show it. And how can a small-time program like that from the middle of nowhere afford to go play a one-off in Athens Ohio? Are they using a ford passenger van like a middle school bowling team? Staying at the motel six?

Given what BVP has done for the Bobcats through his years here, including in the MAC and NCAA tournaments, he can shoot from Richland Avenue if he wants as far as I’m concerned.

McKinney just doing his job. I'll never downplay a road game regardless of opponent so I had no issues with Stetson...but that Concordia game. Holy crap that was a frightening 25 minutes.

Did any of you hear the Jeff Boals radio show? Russ had found out that Upstates' game this weekend was cancelled due to COVID. So Coach texted Coach Dickerson at Upstate to confirm that they are still coming to Athens. Answer was yes.

Probably not so much that ESPN+ isn't bothering to show it than it's a matter of Ohio not having staff to do the broadcast during winter break. It's happened before, a lot. Marty and some others would know.

True, Pataskala, despite most other MAC schools being able to broadcast games on ESPN+ during winter break. I've asked Marty on here multiple times in previous threads over the years with no response. Leaves me wondering why Ohio lacks staff to broadcast games during break while other MAC schools don't.

I know WOUB-TV drops its local news and sports programming during school breaks. I don't know if they use WOUB staffers for ESPN+ or if it's done through the athletics dept.

Appears that way. The department is subcontracting the old video person to do regular games they are that small of a department. This is nothing new.

They should have video available for the refs. Why not stream that along with radio audio like LSU did when we played them?

Brevard cancelled. Replaced them with Converse University - first year with men's team as they just went co-ed. Watched a bit of the game (gotta love local cable channels - gotta get a life) - Upstate doubled them up. Actually (oddly) pressed much of the game. Should be good game to play a lot of players.
