Really bad performance. I am honestly unsure how we only lost by 30...everything seemed painful. Maybe because I was already cranky from football. JP being 3 for 3 from 3 was a minor miracle that helped it not be a 40 point deficeit.

When Simmons attempts 7 three pointers, you know the offense never really got in a rhythm. Sheldon a 1 for 7 night...so irritating. The one he made had a super obnoxious celebration, then the next trip down the court his confidence was so high he took a very ill advised off balance early shotclock attempt that airballed.

Simmons got absolutely dominated in the paint. Not an easy task, but he can't be happy with his performance. Not a single defensive rebound. He was getting roasted by their crowd, you could hear some good taunts on the broadcast. Sooooo many easy put back baskets for St Marys.

But yeah, I get it. Road game, 3 time zones, top 25 level team, 3 injuries. Still doesn't change how difficult that was to watch.

It just epitomizes how bad this roster is compared to good teams. Fortunately, they’re probably aren’t very many good teams in the MAC.
I beg to differ on this, even with the early sample size. If you consider Miami and Akron the only 'good' teams - I think you are just looking at MAC title timbre.

But the middle of the MAC at this point looks pretty solid - Ohio, Toledo, Kent, EMU, BG, Buffalo - that makes up eight teams that right now look like 12 to 15 win teams or better overall, and potential .500 teams in MAC play.

WMU, NIU, Ball St. CMU I would argue at this point only one of those teams (I don't know which one) finishes below 300 in KenPom.

The MAC, right now, looks much better than it has in recent seasons, overall.

That's just one opinion.

The MAC men’s basketball conference is now ranked 23rd out of 31 conferences. What happened to the good old days?
