Our Bobcats are a fun team to watch.

I have another commitment and won't be able to attend Tuesday's game vs. BG. Section 1, Row F behind the team bench. Plus, you get to hear the real time, expert analysis of Jeff McKinney who sits just in front of these seats.

Some in the section wear masks and others do not.

If you're interested in using the seats, message me here with your mobile number and I'll initiate the transfer.

BG hosts Miami today. That should be a good game. Two teams that have shown some promise here and there...

I will be there as I move back onto campus this evening. Cannot wait to be back in the Convo again! Hopefully we show BGSUCKS how it’s done

The MAC regular season is always a grind. Post game Boals’ quote “you can never get tired of preparing to win” rings true. Expect a battle on Tuesday.

Two weeks into the MAC season and we're the last unbeaten team left in conference play.

The university announced an updated Presidential Health Directives today (1/9):

....... Food and drinks should not be served at any in-person event, gathering or meeting. Exceptions can be made for third-party space rentals that have already been confirmed, although masking should be strictly enforced. Third-party renters are defined as organizations that are not affiliated with the University. A University department renting event space from another University unit/facility is not a third-party rental.

Concessions will be closed at all University-related events. Water will be available.

Ohio University’s Presidential Health Directives require all individuals to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces on OHIO campuses, and on public transportation. Students, faculty, and staff should use N95, KN95, KN94, or surgical masks whenever possible, regardless of vaccination status ......

I don't see how the stricter mask mandate and lack of infamously bad soft pretzels is any kind of issue. As fans, we should all be happy they are doing everything possible to keep the building open and protect people. Our team is on a run and establishing itself as the best in the conference. Half of MAC games have been hit with COVID pauses, so we should be happy with any steps taken to keep our team on the floor and in front of fans.

That will be interesting to see. Hope BVP and Roderick can keep up their hot streaks for this game. I'm going to bet Frazier gets minimum 5 minutes max 15 minutes

I think you are spot on with that prediction. I see him working his way into the lineup slowly. I'd guess this game it'll be closer to the five minute estimate and that by the end of the month it might be getting up to that 15-minute mark.

I can definitely see Boals doing that on Tuesday. Also, heavily debating crafting a sign for the game - might be "BGSUCKS"

Sounds about right.

If the game isn't close, I could see it being higher but BG is a decent squad. I don't see us running away with it.

This is a kid who has only played seven total minutes of basketball in the last two years. Unless he has been practicing for quite some time with OHIO or we have a massive lead, I can't imagine him getting much time on the court for a while. Last year, he played six minutes against VCU on January 23 and one minute in mop-up play against Rhode Island on March 4. That's all the court time he has gotten since before COVID. To imagine that he may be soon getting 15 minutes per game feels like a major stretch.

What are the rules as far as a player like this practicing? Could he have been participating in practice for a while but not game eligible until today? Or would he have been barred from practicing before today, also?

I'm no BTC (although I did sleep in a Holiday Inn recently) but I gotta believe that a player who has yet to gain eligibility to play is eligible to practice. The question would be was he physically able to practice or was he still rehabbing from surgery?

Certainly a legend in his own mind on every topic within the scope of human endeavor. However, on NCAA rules and officiating rules I think his expertise matches his swagger.

A couple of interesting notes in Arkley latest article.

- Frazier will be a walk-on
- Miles Browns is expected to miss the BG game
- A Jeff Boals team has not beaten BG since his return to Ohio.

My question on Frazier is this: redshirted last year correct and the COVID year so he came to us with 4 years in tact. Does a half year walk on take time away or will he still have 4 years? Could be exciting to go with our incoming studs. And does this mean Lundo or DW3 or both gone for next year?

Depends on how many games he ends up playing. I think the rule is a third of our games is the threshold.
