Great comeback in the second half. I believe this also allows Sears to move ahead of Rollins in the POY race, for now. Miles and B-Rod were huge down the stretch for us and Schmock continues to show that he's a great pickup. Olumide and IJ showed flashes as well. Onto Fiami and I promise to have a lengthy dirt sheet for this one.
Whoa, now. Rollins and his team dominated Sears and his team twice. It’s a close race, but Rollins is ahead and likely to stay ahead.

Yep...it's a no contest. Rollins is POY based on this alone. If we had split the first two meetings it would be going down to the last regular season game.

Were there actually over 2,000 in the house?
ESPN says 1208.
Just going by what the EMU announcers said on ESPN3 and the box score on the Ohio website. Since it was a doubleheader with EMU's men's and women's teams, maybe they counted double.

You give MAC voters too much credit. Not sure many voters will go that deep to consider head to head. They look at the best few players on the best few teams and compare stats. Right now, Sears has a slight lead in scoring despite taking about 1 less shot per game. Sears also has a slight advantage in assists, but also has more turnovers. Rollins leads Sears by 1 in rebounds per game. If Sears distances on scoring in these last 3 weeks statistically speaking, he could still win it over Rollins.

I was there, no way was there more than 1,000 people in that building. Unless they had droves of people hidden away in the back offices.

That was my second game in Ypsilanti, I will say there was more energy in the building than my first experience.

That’s a good point. I am probably giving them too much credit. They don’t think like we do…that is for sure. I love Sears, but if I had a vote and I’m looking at it objectively and I’m re-watching those Toledo/Ohio games…my vote goes to Rollins.

How far has our rivalry with Fiami fallen when we are just over 24 hours away from a game with them and no game official game thread yet?

Our game thread creator had a very high priority sporting event over the weekend.
