Gutsy little run.

If we can pull this out, it'll be a hugey improbable win.

Last 3 minutes, they have athletic wings, we have none. The rebuild begins.

We have no answer to athletic wings.

The loss of Lundo and DW3 was too much. Those two give us a 15 point win.

Tell me why Carter watched that last Kent rebound that resulted in a foul from BVP. He was on the baseline

Pattern all year in addition to the horrible shots he takes and his inability to consistently finish at the rim.

Lost this one on the free throw line with the 3 upperclassmen missing 9.

We made our best push after Sears slid over to the 2-guard position and Schmock took over as lead guard. When the season was on the line, Boals took the ball out of Sears' hands (and I think it was the right decision).

That better motivate Sears. Defenses have largely figured him out down the stretch.

Dribble. Dribble. Try to rub off a screen but get hedged back out. Dribble. Dribble. Entry into the post to watch Carter or BVP crab dribble and hope that something happens. That's not gonna get it done in any league.

Wait..can we play CBI or CIT? Even if BVP and JC say no our young guys need games. Boals completely mismanaged this team this year. And can someone find out if Lundo has a scholly? If so then YANK IT. He did not earn it. The inability to say goodbye to Lundo was a distraction.

A good year but not good enough. Need stronger non conference schedule to prepare against better Mac teams. That non conference schedule was unacceptable for a team with post season hopes. Team team became too soft with that schedule. Poor starts against the top of the Mac. Need to develop the bench.

No DW3
No McDay
Roderick's historically terrible season
Sears inability to step up in big games

24 Wins...I would say that we exceeded expectations for this year. Just saying.

Peaked too early. Kent State was on a 13 game winning streak going into this game. Momentum matters to win the conference.

So we're going to put it to a vote to see who wants to continue to play and who decides they're done? I say we're done. From what I understand we lose money on these useless post season tournaments and I can't see how we benefit in any way. You want to keep on playing? Then win your MAC tourney games.

We lost a true point guard when Jason went to the NBA. Our rebounding was suspect at best and we also got saddled with some injuries this year. Yet, we proved early in the MAC schedule that we could beat anyone and then some. Our mental toughness wasn't something that could last us the entire MAC season. Hopefully, the injuries heal, Ben comes back, and the recruits and or tranfer portal brings us some new gems. As fun as this year was, it was also very frustrating. Let's hope next year we lose some of that frsutration.

The athletic department just flat out loses money. If you are worried about the finances then just close down athletics. We need more practice and games to get better. That's not some secret sauce.

From a strict ROI stand point I can't see how playing a game or two in March, where some guys want to play and some guys don't give a rip, help us come Nov/Dec. Let's not throw good money after bad.

A lot of doom and gloom here, which is understandable. Disappointing loss, but the fans in attendance were great down the stretch, it got really loud during the stretch when the lead got cut to 2. Very proud of Bobcat Nation in attendance, easily 3/4 of the arena were wearing green and white.

I got a lot of faith next year that the underclassman will develop during the off season, and the return of DW3 will help the gap of a leaving Carter and (maybe?) BVP if he decides to leave.

Give Kent defense all the credit. Until they started getting tired late in the game their defensive quickness ruled the game. OHIO had great difficulty penetrating.

Had fantasy that Schmock would come home and go-off. Oh, well.

I thought the refs called some really crappy fouls and some no fouls.

I thought Kent extremely fortunate to get several shooters bounces on three attempts. Just one rims out and OHIO may have had a tie.

Clayton should have been in and told not to hesitate launching several threes to see if he could get it rolling.

It was exciting seeing Sears hit two free throws cutting it to 5 and then Carter blocking a shot to start a break and Sears draining the three to cut it to two.

Why did the refs stop an OHIO breakaway when Kent was called for a shot clock violation? OHIO got screwed out of a two on one.

Other than your last point, which I think is just a matter of enforcing the rule as it stands, I agree with everything you say here. Good analysis, IMHO.

That's what I want to know, Sears had possession before the buzzer and the ref blew it anyway...

We do NOT need to see this team play any more games. I love Boals, but he didn't seem interested in playing young players to see them develop. So let's please end this season, which spiraled over the past six weeks.

And as much as McDay gave us last year, let's please just move on. I don't know what's going on with him, but we need players who are "all in" and are reliable. We can't waste any scholarships. There are a number of players that Boals has decided can't cut it in terms of major minutes... let's let them walk and then refill those spots with key transfers or incoming freshmen.

Boals quote from post-game was "I'm just sad we won't get to coach these guys for another day." Doesn't sound like a coach or team looking to accept a CBI invite.

Calling it a day, and I can't say I blame them.
