I would be completely shocked if we can compete in this game.

Well, we drank a lot of whiskey
So I don't know what went on that night at all
But I don't think they even missed us
I guess Buffalo ain't geared for me and Paul

We may not get boat raced but maybe a little canoe shock?

Our shooting will be even colder. Buff by a dozen.

At least a dozen. I know I've said this in other comments but I just can't get over the talent gap we have. Seeing it in person is even worse.

Well, we did beat them already this season once.

How it was done?

JP with 23 points mostly from 2 point range and the FT line.
(we would be at the mercy of refs calling fouls again...???)

Kelly with 13 points and none of them from three

Hadaway with a career game of 27 points and 10 rebounds

Sheldon with a decent shooting game and 4 steals

For all this to repeat would almost be lightning in a bottle on the road.

I would say maybe a 10% or 15% chance to win the game. Not impossible odds, but not great ones either. Also Hadaway/Simmons/Kelly got called for a total of 13 fouls. Hadaway fouled out and the other two finished with 4 each. That would make a road win almost impossible if it repeats.

Is there any evidence that Buffalo plays D the way Kent and Akron do? I'm not seeing it. I think we just match up better with them. They certainly have weapons but unlike Miami, they seem to have shown that their gaudy preseason record was a mirage.

We're a road dog, no doubt, but I think our chances are more in the 35-40% range.

Torvik says Buffalo by 7.8 points. Gives us a 24% chance.

Hilariously Boals is actually 4-2 all-time at Buffalo.

I say we have 50-50 chance of winning this game if we get no technicals and no flagrant fouls.

Given that the last two games those fouls totally shifted the momentum to the opponent and they never looked back....hard to disagree.

He’s 57-19 vs teams that aren’t Toledo/Akron/Kent

75% chance he’s beating everyone else.

Being that we are not a good shooting team, particularly from the 3, Boals needs to improve our concentration on the defensive end. After all, defense is known to lead to better offense.
He also needs to get after Hadaway to perform better and cut out his antics.
Also show more confidence in the bench players, if they want more PT play better D.
We have had some success in double teaming the ball handler, be aggressive.
No fouling on 3point shooters, it can only lead to a bad result.
We are also a terrible rebounding team which also needs to show improvement, i.e. better defense will result in improved rebounding.

We improve if we try and I would like to see it start with the Buffalo game.

There was a poster here a few weeks ago who seemed to have a connection to Conners and mentioned that Boals is largely using him wrong by forcing him off ball all the time.

Thought that little pick and roll between he and Simmons was very well executed. Id definitely like to see more of the Pavs/Conners/Kelly/Hadaway/Simmons group. It's the most effective lineup year to date.

Haven't seen it yet today.

Freitag’s whistle is something I've never seen before. Dude gets so many calls for no reason.

Bobcats playing really well today. Gotta give them credit for playing solid on the road against an improved UB team.

Plain and simple…Boals is George H daddy. Amazing how the two best games of the year come against Buffalo. Offense looks different when you run it through Simmons and of course make shots. This will pretty much lock up a spot in Cleveland.

Watched most of the first half (alternating that with my granddaughter's first club volleyball match).
I saw three noticeable differences - sharp cuts, crisp passing, and entry passes from the post from good angles. It was fun basketball to watch.
