Toledo at Dayton first round. (NIT)

Toledo would probably be at Vandy 2nd round if they advance.

Don't like the potential matchup with MTSU. They look like the teams that beat us late in the season. That would be in the 3rd round, so a long way to go first.

All games are at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center. Looks like the first two rounds are being shown on flohoops.com (subscription required)

Agree, they played UAB well in their 3OT title game.

Overall, I think this could be a huge help for developing our younger guys and giving them more floor time. Plus we get more basketball and I'm all for it!

One of my buddies that went to State asked me why we didn't make the NIT with all of our Tier 4 wins?

What an embarrassment tournament at least were the third seed.

If we win the tournament would be put the banner in the parking garage underneath the Convo?

It is football time!!!

We are going to have a very special football season at least with the 110.

I’ve heard of people cancelling their subscriptions and still getting billed for a few more months afterwards. Makes me want to use a prepaid Visa card with just the $30 on it if I subscribe…

FloSports / Hoops has around 800 complaints on the BBB of similar actions. Probably best to avoid them.

Yes, I had this experience last year when I subscribed to watch the women's team in their tournament. I finally got it cancelled, but it was a hassle and I think I paid for at least one extra month after I first tried to cancel. I'm not going to do it again.

Not understanding the purpose of playing in this third-tier post-season tournament. Coaching staff and team have belabored how tough that 6 game in 12 day stretch was even after the Kent semifinal game. Even though that stretch ended well before the MAC tournament, it was still being discussed as of last Friday night. I see no reason why to risk injury to a returning player for next season just to post more quad 4 wins and hang a banner that nobody cares about.

Call it a season...get ready to hit the recruiting trail and find at least one stud in the portal for 2022-2023.

Even if this site was not considered sketchy, it's OK to love the Bobcats and admit there's no way in hell you're paying $30 to watch this on your computer

Glad our coaches, players & administrators are competitors who want to continue competing. Sorry not all of our fans have this mentality, but whatever.

I really hope they can make it to into the final 4 of this event and see what happens from there. Let's make the most of this 2nd chance at finishing strong.

Even though I don't think we have any business playing in this tournament, I'll still root. That won't ever change.

Rice isn't very good. Ranked in 210-230 range by most. They are essentially Ball State+.

But whether we win or not will depend on if we plan to play normal rotations vs bench guys. We should be plenty rested so I'd expect a similar performance to MAC quarters but we all know we could lose to anybody at this point (BG, NIU).

Assuming we get by Rice, potential 2nd round game against Abilene Christian should be decent. They're ranked in 140s. So think just a step below Akron or Kent. Winnable if we play well. Could also lose by 20.

Potential semifinal match up with Middle Tennessee is tough. They're a top 100 team. If we won that, a big if, it legit might be our best win of the season.

And if all that comes together we're rewarded with a 4th game in 5 days.

For a team that only plays 7 people and complained about 6 in 12, 4 in 5 should be REALLY fun. Talk about injury risk and/or not putting your best foot forward.

If I had to guess, us accepting this tournament was less about being serious and trying to win a couple extra games or hang a weird banner in the Convo and more a reward, specifically to our seniors, to give them a week in the sun in Daytona Beach together for the last time. Enjoy the beach. Enjoy the atmosphere. Enjoy the meals and each other's company to make memories one last time. And as an aside roll out the ball and play a fun game or two. Don't take it too seriously because I doubt anyone else is.

Which means I fully expect whether winning or losing by double digits to see LOTS of the bench and generally a free flowing almost pre-season type attitude. Winning secondary to having a good time.

Not sure if that equates to losing round one or winning the whole thing.

Great take and I also think this is pretty much a sign that BVP is officially done and perhaps Boals wants to give him a shot at winning another game or two. However, still not worth the risk that you mentioned (serious injury to a returning player).

Since the tourney is played over a long weekend in northern Florida, I see this as a combination bowl game/spring break for the players - a "congrats on a good season" get-a-way. Go and enjoy some time in the sun guys!!!
