With the way the lineups were used coming down the stretch, it has to be just bc they didn't wanna waste his redshirt right? The front line is gonna need some experience next year for sure especially if BVP doesn't come back. He was a serviceable backup last season. No reason to think he can't be that going forward.
He has played in three games, 12 minutes total, according to stats, and two were later in the season, so I don't think he is eligible to redshirt in anyway. His three appearances were the same three blowout appearances as John Tenerowicz, so I think he just is that far down on the bench at this point.
Isn't three games under the total for a redshirt or does it have to do with the fact they were late in the season?
I agreed that he was serviceable last season so I figured a redshirt this year was just part of the plan for his development.
I may be wrong, but I don't think basketball, like football, has a rule that allows freshmen to play a few games and not burn their redshirt. I'm sure one of our resident experts can tell me if that's right.
You are on a roll today OCF!!!!! Like a broken clock, you've been right twice in one day!!!
No, in all seriousness, basketball has the rule that one play = one game, and one game burns the shirt!
The A-10 is currently proposing that basketball adopt the football rule of 4 games, with the stipulation that they be essentially "emergency players".
