I'm very optimistic about the crowd for the game this weekend!  The casual fans will put our record aside for our archrival with the way we beat them last year...  Especially after our post-season run.  We've had 7000+ for Miami the last two years on Wednesday and Thursday nights...  I'm expecting the best O Zone in my time at Ohio this Sunday.

Ohio wins it 71-65
Attendance: 10,324

Go Bobcats!

Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Cincinnati are all not playing.  The Colts are playing Saturday.  Best scenario we can hope for, really.

Haven't had a weekend Miami game in a few years...And hanging the 2010 banner.  However, I have grown cynical in this team's ability to close out Ws at this point.

Attendance - 9,832
Result - Miami 64, Ohio 62

I'm feeling it for this game. I think attendance will be pretty good - but not 10,000 - I'll go with 8,500. OU 58 Fiami 55.

No matter if anyone, either team, scores 20+. If:

1. We have 4 in double figures - we win.
2. We have more total rebounds, less turnovers, equal or better FT % - we win.

Uh... I'm not optimistic on the outcome.  Crowd around 4,500.  OU/Athens only likes frontrunners now....

Ohio69, we'll have more official attendance than 4500.  Heck, we had more than that for several of our OOC home games in Nov. and Dec.

Official, paid attendance:  8,111
Score:  Ohio 72, Miami 61

If we had over 7,000 last year, I have to believe that we'll add another 2,000-3,000 people this year because its on the weekend. The only NFL game at the time of the game is Kansas City vs. Baltimore so i don't really think a lot of people here are going to stay inside to watch that game.

As far as the game, I think Ohio will win. Miami has had an impossible schedule but they haven't won anything much besides upsetting Xavier.

I think Cooper will go off and Ohio wins 72-61

"reported" Attendance: 10,865

8722 and, well, maybe a win.  Would be more but it's a Sunday game.

It's amazing how big of a let-down 4,500 would be for us when half of the conference would absolutely love that for any game of the year...Makes you realize how lucky we are here...

Kind of shocked to see Vegas has it as OHIO -6.5.  Kind of feel like that's a few points too many.  I was thinking more like OHIO -4.  Hope they're right.

9749 in the house - yeah right, kind of like the claims that we broke even on the bowl game.  If you do the math as reported in yesterday's paper it was a loss of $199,000 not counting what the band cost.

At least the kids on both teams played hard and provided 3 hours of compelling drama.  The only drama in the numbers the adults provide is how far they exaggerate things.

Dragon turned to me during the game and asked "7.5K?" I looked around a few seconds and replied "8.1K."

No, the drama comes from the people that make a huge noise about it.

Yeah, Alan, there's nothing wrong with a large, public institution lying repeatedly in order to enhance its reputation and mask drops in attendance. I, for one, am glad that these two J-school posters have their heads screwed on right and will rush to defend the battlestar against the forces of truth and accuracy. Stop harshing their mellow. Let's get these guys into the public relations track in Scripps ASAP.
