I highly doubt Elton's even watched us play.

Luckily newspapers are going the way of the dodo and we don't need to rely on guys like Elton for the only news and analysis of this league anymore.

Hopefully within the next year he'll be managing editor of Bleacher Report or something equally asinine.

I hope someone associated with Ohio finds a way to rub it into Elton after last night's game...remember that a few days ago he trashed Ohio in an article and ranked us as the worst team in the MAC East.

I have posted in awhile mostly because I didn't know what to say. I've been completely disappointed so far this season after I told all my friends how good the Bobcats were going to be. I sat and watched the entire Miami game as we continually made little mistakes, took dumb shots, and pissed away a game at home versus the team I want to beat more than anyone else. I was so disgusted after that game I was about ready to give up hope on this season.

Then we play Akron. I didn't watch any of the game (though I kept up with the score on my phone) because I couldn't bear to watch what I thought was going to be a shellacking. Even when we were up big I was thinking "We are definitely going to f*** this up somehow." But we didn't.

I have new hope for this team. I really think that they will begin to gel more as conference play continues and they will be ready by March. I hope they continue to build my confidence against Can't State.

Ahhh, life as a bobcat fan can be frustrating.

I can continue to subtly highlight he doesn't know what he's talking about on the unfortunate occasions our paths cross.

"Subtle" isn't what I had in mind.  The ideal confrontation would have been after the game last night in the JAR.
Something like, "Ohio #6 in the MAC East, huh?  DJ can't handle the pressure, huh?  When are you gonna do another revision of your predictions?  You still gonna get the best seat on press row for the MAC tournament?"  This yelled at him from a distance so others on press row and in the arena could hear.

And to think, the Sporting News still has him do the MAC preview for their esteemed publication.

There's a certain amount of decorum one is expected to uphold on media row.

Decorum I undoubtedly broke at the finals of the MAC tournament, but decorum nonetheless.

I wouldn't expect you, Dragon, to yell out this stuff while serving on press row.  I'm talking about someone like the Gman or Chouteau or Athena yelling it from the stands.

If I were you, I'd be careful about bringing up press row...it'll remind everyone of how you sold out to Grunk while he was sitting by you at the Q.

I honestly had a harder time staying professional with Darren McFadden.

Me: Well into my second decade of calling Elton Alexander an unknowledgeable douchebag.
