This will be a good test to figure out if the Michigan game was a fluke.

This team has been hard to figure out and that UCC game didn't really give us much.d

We always seem to beat them in Athens and lose in Huntington. Last year, looking over the box score, Kinsey and Taylor were largely held in check. They combined for only 26 on 8/32 combined shooting. I see this year they are both averaging around 20/game. Good litmus test game, and this group needs a solid road win. Let's get this one.

Was watching the Marshall/Akron post game interview with D'Antoni and he said that he felt like Ohio seems to think that they are better than us (Marshall), and that they wanted to give the Bobcats a warm welcome...

Hoping Coach Boals tightens up the rotation on this one and gives us a good shot to win it. Akron is the best team Marshall's played and, while they did handily win and limited Castineda, we have shown that we have quite a few different guys that can score. We have some depth at guard now so, let's amp up the pressure...

Go Bobcats!

D'Antoni is correct, we do think we are better than Marshall. Can we please bring back the football matchup?

Without digging through past scores, does anyone know off the top of their head when was the last time the road team won in this matchup? I feel like a Tony Campbell team won down there, maybe? I don't remember the last time the 'Herd won in Athens.

Promise I did not dig, but 2011-12 we won at their place. I think that's the last time the road team won.

Shab is right. Nov 30, 2011 we won in Huntington 70-68 with Groce and the Sweet 16 team. Since then the home team has won 7 straight, 4 by us and 3 by them.

Our last 3 trips to Big Cow:
Nov 30, 2016: Saul L 98-88
Dec 16, 2017: Saul L 99-96 OT
Dec 13, 2020: Boals L 81-67

Dec 4, 2010 is the last time Terd won in Athens under Groce 65-57.

*edit: I disobeyed and looked it up.

I went to watch Marshall play at Miami. Marshall boat raced them. Will be a challenge for Ohio.

Next one in football is 9/11 2027 in Athens. It is also rumor that they could also meet in a bowl game this year.

Didn't CBS Sports predict Ohio v Marshall in the Orlando FL "Cure Bowl" - ??

That may have changed as I haven't looked at the bowl prediction updates lately.

We don’t look like we know whether to crap or wind our watch. This is making the Detroit Mercy game look a barn burner. Hoping we get to double digits by the half!!

They beat us up and took our lunch money. Stunning how bad we were all around tonite. We weren’t even close to being competitive. The bright spot IF you are really, really really looking for a bright spot was the play of the Wiz in “spots”. Made some nice moves to the basket ona number of occasions scoring in double digits.

Scary to me is both transfer guards don't look to have very good outside shots, whether from 15 or 3 pointers. And assists seem to be all but non-existent.

And as much abuse as Wiznitzer has gotten from some here he's had a couple decent games recently and had 15 today on 6-7 FG's and decent form shooting FT's.

I foresee a long season.

At some point someone is going to have to make a decision whether or not to continue to start Devon baker or put AJ brown / Roderick back in the starting lineup.

At the moment... we are not good...sure we have some nice pieces to the puzzle but inconsistent play from our starting PG/SG does not bode well for MAC play.

I would not be the least bit surprised to see AJ Brown in the starting lineup very very soon. He had a rough start when he first saw the floor tonite, however he got stronger as his opportunities developed in the second half. He seems to have that knack to take his man to the basket and creates. Hit some late 3’s as well. I do think BRod need some extended minutes as well with a green light to shoot. Wiz actually showed some growth tonite. Made some strong moves to the hoop and finished. He overcame a very rough start as well. Overall Marshall just schooled us and the game was essentially over at the FIRST media timeout.
