Why are you all so upset?

Other than busing down to Huntington to go out in the first round of this &^%*hole of a tournament, I would imagine you all should be more than grateful you aren't playing Wisconsin-Milwaukee or something.

First off I think you were trying to say "Marshall is better than any team IN your conference."
I for one am not upset about playing in this Tourney, its just extra practice for next year.

I'm saying you have been playing crappy MAC teams all season and now you get to play a team less than 2 hours away that is actually good and NOW you all complain?

1.)  You are crazy if you think anyone is getting on a bus and coming to Huntington for this game.

2.)  Marshall is considered slightly better than Ohio.  If the Herd was that much better, they would be in one of the marquee tournaments, like the CBI.

3.)  You might rip on the MAC, but all my friends that are Marshall alums hate being in Conference USA.  You have no rivals and travelling to games is not an option anymore.

1. Your team will be on a bus... so you're already lying.

2. I think "slightly" is a stretch... See: RPI and games against top 50.

3. I'd rather watch Marshall vs ECU/UCF/USM on TV... than go to Akron for a football game.

I'm just trying to make you all feel better about the situation.

Is the MAC so lame these days that you all stick to arguing over typos?

I thought you were talking to the fans.  There will be no fans going.

Marshall is, in fact, only slightly better.  I'm not the one saying that.  The selection committees at the NCAA, NIT, and CBI have said that by your omission in their tournaments.  Marshall won the heads-up game by 8 points.  The Herd isn't Kansas.

You might like watching those football games on TV, but the fan support is clearly worse than it was when 10,000 fans would get in their cars and drive to Akron on a Saturday afternoon.  I would even argue that your fan support was better in the Southern conference.  UTEP might be a better S.O.S. game, but the Joan isn't rocking like it used to.  The Herd caravan for road games in the 90's is long gone.

I'm saying you have been playing crappy MAC teams all season and now you get to play a team less than 2 hours away that WAS ACTUALLY NEVER GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN THE MAC WE DID FINISH 4TH IN THE MAC ONE YEAR AND YOU CAN NEVER TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US. OUR FAN'S BOORISH BEHAVIOR IS QUITE LEGENDARY AND WE HAVE A TOTALLY UNEARNED SELF OF ENTITLEMENT.  AND IT'S QUITE FUNNY THAT I'VE COME HERE TO FEEL SUPERIOR EVEN THOUGH BOTH OUR TEAMS ARE IN THE SAME TOURNAMENT. THAT POINT IS COMPLETELY LOST ON ME. NOT SURE IF IT IS THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF FRIED FOODS AND SAUSAGE GRAVY THAT WE CONSUME IN HUNTINGTON OR THE EVER PRESENT COAL DUST LINGERING IN THE AIR DOWN HERE BUT I'M THINKING THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE ONE OF THE BCS CONFERENCES IS GOING TO WANT US TO JOIN SHORTLY.  NEVERMIND THAT WE HAVEN'T BEEN IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT IN 25 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER WON AN NCAA TOURNAMENT GAME.  HECK WE'VE NEVER EVEN WON AN NIT GAME. WE ARE MARSHALL.

Fixed it for you.

And yeah... we're only 100+ RPI spots better...

How are we "slightly" better?

The only thing that could be considered a bona fide win was against "Valpo" who is 71 in RPI.

I know you all think it's cool to get post 18 wins with a very sub par SOS... but get real.

Nah, we think it's cool to beat Geaorgetown in the NCAA tourney. What has Marshall basketball done lately?

It appears the NIT sides with us. Or did they just lose your number?

Marshall has appently the best RPI rating the last 2 years who has not gotten a NCAA or NIT bid.  I wonder what it is about Marshall that they don't like.   It's fun to see the local comments about this game= we're too good for this.

It is true that Marshall, over the last third of the season, was playing better basketball than any team in the MAC.  It was an "off" season for the MAC.

Ohio just has to focus on going into the Henderson Center and trying to upset the Herd.  I'm guessing Ohio will be anywhere from a 10-12 pt. underdog in this one.

Why do y'all let opposing fans come on here and get you all inflamed?  Let it be.

I haven't seen it personally, but I'm told it's 8.
