I agree that it would be a good hire, but Lickliter likely would be faced with the same obstacles that Ramsey and his immediate predecessors faced. 

Would love to see EMU resurrect it's program and become a contender in the league again, but it may be really difficult to pull that rabbit out of the hat.

Murphy not confirmed but I saw a quote from Lickliter that made it sound like he's out of the running.  My guess is it was right after they slid the paper across the table with his salary offer.
