I just allowed my kids to get a pet (a cat) based on the condition that it would be named Rufus.

That's a Bobcat sin?  A sin would be having the cat named Miami or Brutus.

I guess he means the cat in the house part (ducking).

I guess I feel a little shame for that being a condition of getting a pet but I would not budge on the name.
