Haven't broken this down yet, but they did not at all impressive in beating an even worse Miami team. Another game we ought to win.

UC dominated the Raiders, 78-58, at the Nutter Center. Even without four suspended players. Boxing gloves were left at home and Mick did not cut his lovable quartet. Said he loved them after the game. How heartwarming.

Really should leave Fairborn with a win on Saturday.

Wright State is capable of playing well.  Ohio has to come ready to play like at Portland.

Wright State only lost by two to Cleveland State at home, then beat Miami on the road.

This is a game Ohio should win...probably will be favored by about eight points...but it is far from a gimme.

I am confident the players feel this way too and will bring a good effort Saturday.

I'm hoping for a double digit win to keep the momentum going leading up to the NIU game.

One thing based on looking at their results, they play what would seem to be a defensive, slow paced game.  Cincinnati and Florida had the highest tally on them at 78.  The most they've scored looks to be 66 in defeat against Charlotte.  They have no one in double digits for scoring (though Mays is close), but have 6 guys at 5ppg or more.  They also play 9 or 10 deep.  My only concern would be that the guys are looking ahead to the roadtrip to Iowa.

I caught that post game comment as well.  Must have been trying to win them back.

This is definately a game that Ohio should win.  Wright State has always had a soft spot in my heart as they are the local undercard to the hometown Dayton Flyers  They have had some recent success in the Horizon League, but they are definately rebuilding and are mostly a young team.....

The hardest thing for the Bobcats in this game is the Nutter Center itself...it can be compared to playing basketball in a Wal-Mart....not a good atmosphere, especially for shooters (despite UC's most recent barrage of 3's Wed night).

The court feels as if its in the middle of a warehouse...and from what I have heard from friends that have played there in high school regionals etc....its hard visually to judge depth when shooting because the baskets seem to be in the middle of nowhere...no real backdrop to gauge distance with.

I would say two keys to an Ohio win would be:
  • Limit turnovers.  One of the Raiders' strengths is forcing turnovers.
  • Guard the three point line.  WSU is only hitting 33%, but, they have several guys who can break loose and hit some.
Other than that, Wright State has struggled so far this season.

I'm not concerned about them looking past WSU.  It's a road game vs. a pretty good team.  I'm glad the team will be rested heading into it.  The most anybody put in last night was 23 minutes, so it was almost like a scrimmage game.

I think we can also start counting on everyone's best shot - every team we play now sees beating OHIO as a great RPI booster

Wow...sorry to hear that about Mays.  He is one of their best players.

Surprised we're not favored by a few points more.

I know the game is available on webcast, but does that also mean it can be watched at a later time?  I want to watch the bowl game but also don't want to miss any of the basketball game.  Will a replay of the webcast be accessible a few hours later?

Horizon League streaming is NOT archived.  The bowl game will be, though.

Ok, thanks.  I may do that and just hope the Horizon League announcers don't mention the bowl game!

Haha good luck!  Keep in mind, the bowl will be archived through ESPN3, so make sure you have access to that service.

At least one team wants to play tonight.

OU leads Wright State 36-16 with a little over 2 minutes left in the first half

Keely gets my vote for player of the half. 9 pts, 3 reb, 3/4 from the field, 3/3 from the line coming off the bench.
