Good points. I mentioned in an earlier post that I like Russ and the job he does. He is the best play-by-play guy in the MAC. My anger with all of this, more than anything, is that the Trent Ceremony should have been live on the radio....especially after the video streaming went down.
I've spent 20 years in broadcasting and it's a no brainer to make the entire half-time show around Gary so that Bobcat alums across the country could listen to it. I can't imagine that Russ and the crew did not even discuss doing this weeks leading up to the event. Russ really needs to explain this and they could have gotten around the whole sponsorship issue...it's not that hard to do.

I would really like for this fanbase to take their collective expertise and get proactive. I am pretty sure guys like you have the experitise to make the following definition of an expert we use in our office come true
the definition of an expert is one who , in his given feild of endeavour , knows everything that can and will go wrong and takes every precaution to ensure it does not...
NOt singling you out but if you had any ideas for the halftime I am pretty sure RUss is pretty approachable especially from someone with your impeccable credentials...beforehand. THere are times he considers an idea and is polite about explaining why it may not work here but he does consider them and gives them credence. My guess is that a guy like you or any fan with specific knowledge could approach RUss with ideas PRE EMPTIVELY and he would at least give them credence or kick them up to a higher level.
