Barberton chicken

+1.  Surely I wasn't the only 5 year old who insisted they had a birthday party at Belgrade instead of Chuck E Cheese?

My family always went to the White House.  And of course there were all of those good buffets - Tallmadge Buffet, the Cathedral Buffet, the Village Buffet and of course the grand daddy of them all, Town and Country in Canton..,

Hey SBH, did you guys ever go to Marcel's in Cuyahoga Falls?

I have in-laws in Akron, and Barberton chicken eases the pain of regular drives south. I like Belgrade Garden's because it's the original, but the chicken, hot sauce, and fries are all eerily similar at every Barberton chicken place. The lard-fried chicken is sublime, the hot sauce is delicious (though neither especially hot nor a sauce), and the fries look good but taste pretty lousy.

I thought I was the only one who used basketball as a cover to eat at a bunch of different restaurants.

We should invite Anthony Bourdain for a trip around the MAC. Just for the jokes he'd make about Oxford.

But seriously, that man needs to be in Athens at some point. A drunk Bourdain on Court Street would make my year.

Luigi's is cash only?

Reminds me of ordering the Souvlaki's Super Beef Hoagie on the phone, the last word was always "No Check"!

I've been to every MAC school, and I would put Northern Illinois and Bowling Green in the same category. Needless to say, I don't think highly of NIU. Perhaps it was the weather (rain all weekend) that made me dislike NIU. It just has nothing unique at all about it really.

The drive is brutal too. Not as bad as Buffalo though.
