The bracket buster lineup puts Akron in the driver's seat for any MAC at-large* opportunities.  Got to take care of business and put an #ss whooping on Kron when they come to the Convo.  I can't take another 1995 debacle.  







*discussion of this sort is admittedly from fantasyland as no MAC will ever get an at-large again.  I could not resist and am sorry in advance.

I don't have a problem with UNC-Asheville as an opponent.  I DO have a problem with being overlooked for a TV game considering where we stand RPI wise. 

(Hey, when we play our return game at Asheville, we can go ahead and play Western Carolina too!  They're only about 50 miles or so from there I think...) 

I'm sure when it's time for that game that our fan base will start to get motivated and interested in the opponent and the game.

I don't think we need to make a trip to see Grandpa Larry.  I think a trip east to the triangle would be a better use of our time.  Coach Groce is a former N.C. State assistant I believe, so that would be a nice road trip.

I disagree. There are some teams that will get some very real benefit out of it. Akron, Nevada, Iona, Long Beach State, Drexel and Cleveland State all can really improve their at-large standing with victories. Wichita State, Murray State, St. Mary's and Creighton would have to really stumble in conference to screw up their bids.
