A pet peeve of mine as well. No issue with playing these non-D1 games if we want to keep the team fresh, but they shouldn't count in our record. We are really 13-14, Miami is 26-0, etc.

UMass fans have every right, maybe more so than Ohio fans, to be upset with how their season is going.

The Minutemen entered MAC play with an 8-3 record including wins v. Oregon St., Boston College and Florida St. Not powerhouses but nice wins before starting conference play. They have one of the best pure pt guards in a league that is loaded with quality point guards in freshman Carbuccia (really impressed me when UMass visited the Convo and second in the MAC in assists at 6.3/g); one of the best true post players in Bettiol (3rd in the MAC with 8 reb/g); and one of the better perimeter scorers in the MAC in Banks. It's been a case where the sum is NOT greater than the parts this season as UMass has struggled with many losses that could have gone either way.

Hadaway has to lead the MAC in arms in the air after a foul. This team is such BS. I was a huge critic of Saul but ALL of his teams would crush us. Mike Laster would kill these dudes. Heck, James Gollon and Gavin Block would torch this collection of Nancies. Good riddance Sheldon, Breath, Hada"no"way and probably Simmons and Conners. Please stay Burris, Kuany, Kelly, Fisher and Elliott. Please.

On the plus side, we finally saw a bigger lineup and more of Kuany’s offensive ceiling/athleticism.

The down side, too little too late. This team isn’t winning another game this season.

I can't believe Sheldon's replacement next year won't be an improvement. The same can be said for whoever is our first big man off the bench compared to Breath this year. It's going to be a major challenge to replace Pav at the point. And all three of these replacements are probably not currently on our roster.

If we get a new coach we can remake this team in a moment's notice. If it's Boals it is one more year.
