I was looking into my crystal ball and I see OHIO on ESPN networks two more times this year. I see us on EPSNU at 8pm on Sunday 2/26/12 vs. Akron and on ESPN2 on March 2nd at 7pm vs. Miami(OH)

My crystal ball says we'll find out about the Akron game on Friday.  I'll be shocked if it isn't picked up -- clearly the marquee of the weekend.  Also, it is the only game of that Saturday with a "TBD" start time.

I'm hoping it gets picked up.  It's the one home game this year that I can't attend and it's bugging the crap out of me.  Of course it's for a good family reason, but I still hope to be able to see it.  The only way the Miami game ends up on ESPN is a miracle, or maybe Charlie's announced retirement.

That would be great if it was.  I am bringing a guy from my church to that game and trying to make him a Bobcat fan.  I got my wife and kids now, just my close friends need changed from Scarlet and Gray to Green and White!!

Must be something about the weekend.  I am bringing an entrie retreat of 8ish guys to the game as a derailment to a weekend in Hocking Hills.  Hope we'll have a rocking Convo atmosphere and shot at the MAC regular season title to show them.

I am aware, but the only game scheduled for Sunday is already on STO. Thus, one of those five Saturday games would have to change days to fill that slot.

ESPN has 345 schools to keep track of.  It's possible they made a mistake.   Until ohiobobcats.com announces that the day has been moved to Sunday, I'm going to keep it on my calendar for Saturday.  I would also think that the season ticket holders would have been notified of a change like that by now.  I get almost daily emails from the athletic department and nothing has been annouced regarding the Akron game.

Please.

It'd be a hell of a coincidence for the game to move from Saturday TBA to Sunday's ESPNU timeslot within 24 hours of their deadline (21 days) to select the game to fill said slot.

Notified of a change like that by now?  It's a 21-day selection game, so you'll be notified... about now.  I'd expect something quite soon.

Solid find, by the way, Jim.

Interesting insight anorris.  I was about to note that neither the OU, nor the MAC sites show a different date.  Selfishly, I'm all for any time that allows for TV.  Saturday evening would be better than Sunday to me though.

My guess is the decision's been made and got into the site there, but hasn't gone though the phone call/email/whatever they do to notify the schools and have them put up a release.  Or they're embargoed until tomorrow morning.

This seems proof positive, though: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/scoreboard?date=20120226 and http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/195/ohio-bobcats

I would be a skeptic if it were just one page showing the 26th, but both tends to make me believe.  Good find, good feedback.  I get to see the 'Cats from somewhere in the Carolinas.  Halleluiah!

I probably would have found a way to get to that game no matter what, but it being Sunday would make that a lot easier for me too.

Same here. This sucks. Was planning an overnight in A-town.  We just cost ourselves about 2k in the stands due to this move.

Did I read that correctly - 8 pm on Sunday night?  That would be the same time as the Academy Awards.  I guess we'll get all of the non-movie folks watching our game.

REALLY !!!!!      In one topix  everyone is complaining about not getting TV game, now when we do, the complaining starts.  If you are a true fan you will be there, Sat., Sun., Mon. or any day.  Give me a break.

No. Completely different.

Under the setup of the Bracket Buster, we earned television in some form, and it would have allowed us to be on TV at a time when everyone is watching college basketball.

Getting our 2nd most hyped home game moved to a Sunday (night!) is a crap move. just garbage. And if this is some sort of olive branch from the schnooks in Bristol after they screwed us this week... well, screw them!

Nevermind. Sunday at 8 pm?  We just cost ourselves about 3500 people.

At least there's no football!

On the plus side, those who go can lord the "I'M A REAL FAN" stick over those who don't.

This is confirmed now for Sunday at 8 p.m. of that weekend. I know because I just called the ticket office to cancel my order. They were able to give me a refund.

Stupid TV... even when we DO get on there, it screw us.
