If you think you can't see the scoreboards now, just think about putting bleachers in that same area, you wouldn't be able to see anything on those boards.

The Convo's got a big-time feel to it.  Just throw in some bleachers behind the hoops instead of those stupid chair seats and a nice video board and we've got gameday atmosphere even better than what we've got now.

I just read the game thread on UNCA's board.... wow what a bunch of whiners. the biggest trash talkers seemed to be alums that live in Ohio too, bet they're the type who root for their alma mater at home but in public pledge allegiance to the suckeyes so their coworkers will like them. we were right, we deserved a much better opponent for BB.

outside of one douche-y ohio state fan (is there another kind? "...not to be confused with the real team in ohio (osu)...") on their board, it didn't seem that way to me. Mostly complimentary of the team and the atmosphere.  Either way, I'm just glad we took care of business.

I'd rather have bleachers behind baskets over video boards. They would affect our opponent way more than video boards.

But who wants to sit in those seats? The view is horrible from baseline/under the court bleacher seats. I'd be very disappointed in OHIO if we became one of those schools that foists crappy sightline seats on the students...they only make up about 70% of attendees for most games...

Agreed on the sight lines.  As for the 70% figure - I guess it is less than 40% on average.

Excluding the winter break games, I'd argue the student percentage is much higher than 40% this year.  Students are showing up...  In recent years, I think 40% is closer to the right number.

It was actually a couple of them but for the most part they were cool.  The guy that killed me was the one that mocked us as not being the real school in Ohio and then complained we weren't giving them any respect.  It might have been the same guy who was on here when the matchups were announced telling us that we should be happy because they made the tournament last year.  They can't seem to comprehend that we are mad about the math, not about the competitive balance.

I agree.  The Convo has aged very well.  I think it looks good both inside and out.  Just a couple of enhancements are needed.
