After we lay an egg on the road our last two games, we get two double digit wins at home.  Now, we get a tough opponent on their court and then the leader of the MAC at the Convo.  If we get the team who showed up for this weeks games, it'll get interesting.  If the one that showed at Toledo and EMU plays, we're in for a rough week.

There is no doubt that we righted the ship this week.
We are playing well now going into this difficult stretch with 3 out of 4 on the road, and we all know what our road record is this year in the conference.
If we win out then I believe we would be assured of the #2 seed, and a double bye.

I don't think we've righted the ship until we've shown we can win conference games on the road.  Hopefully that starts Wednesday!  As always, GO CATS!!!

We'll know if we have the ship righted sometime around 9 p.m. on March 2.

Winning this one at the Beefs is key, but after that, I don't think winning all four is critical.  Kent has three of four left this year on the road besides when we visit their place.  At BGSU, at Miami, at Akron.  No way they win all three.  No matter - the next one is Buffalo.  Let's beat them first, and maybe hope Kent loses the day before.

Kent State has Akron at home in the season finale.

Totally agree. Nothing has been completely fixed until this team shows the ability to win road conference games consistently.

I think if we play the way we did these past two games, we can go to Buff and take a W.  I feel a win Sunday against Akron should be in the cards (not 100% though) and we lose at Kent and win at Miami.  That may give us the second seed but at least the fourth seed.  But even if we have to play Monday, it would be the fifth and what NIU would be the 12th?  So, I wouldn't be to worried about not seeing OU in one game at least in Cleveland.  And yes, I've starting packing the bags this weekend.

I like our chances against Buffalo because they simply won't challenge us defensively the way the rest of the schedule will. I think any team in the MAC that tries to run with us does so at their own peril... which is why the Toledo loss is so unbelievably mind-boggling.

Given our road woes and three out of four on the road down the stretch along with Akron I'm not confident that we can do better than 2-2.  I am hopeful for a better outcome though

As long as we beat Buf & Kent on the road & Akron at home we are probably good to get the double bye.

If anyone is having trouble finding the coach's show online, here's an alternate link.

Anyone coming up for this game, feel like meeting up for a pregame beverage?

Very concerned about what's ahead. Too many memories of the Toledo/Ypsilanti trip.

Buffalo is known as an offensive team because they score quite a bit by playing at a fast pace, but they actually are a good defnesive team, holding opponnets to 38 percent shooting. Buffalo is turnover-prone, so that could be something the Bobcats can really use to their advantage. Buffalo also fouls more than average and Ohio draws falls more than most teams. Of course, it goes the other way, too, with Ohio fouling quite a bit and Buffalo drawing fouls. The Bulls are a below average free throw shooting team and a slightly above average 3-point shooting team.

I think it will be key for the Bobcats to stay out of foul trouble and to score points off turnovers.

How many conference road games have we won this year? Why would that lead anyone to believe we'll win tonight?

I hope we win, but "we are, who we are" with almost 30 games played - we go 1-3 down the stretch, winning the home game.

That is a major concern, but we've won our last two games by double digits (at home, yes.)  This is a great opportunity to see if we're peaking at the right time or just a home team.

I'm going to state the obvious.....IF WE PLAY GREAT DEFENSE WE WIN.
It's just that easy.

Defense is key, but our offense needs to keep rolling too.  We can't afford to have another EMU.

Oh crap; Reg and Smith out.  We're really going to need to step it up on defense.
