Akron won the tournament and Ohio lost to Ball State in the quarterfinals.

Maybe the best over react was on ZipsNation:

"I hate losing to Ohio. When the chants of "o-ver-ra-ted" started I wanted to throw something through the tv screen. The Zips have a long shitty bus ride home tonight. Hopefully, they are already thinking about how they are going to make sure the Bulls have a long shitty bus ride back to Canada Wednesday night."

I like the Zips fans that were trying to say the Convo looked bad because there were empty seats at the top. the crowd looked great and is most definitely a factor.

Great to see us jump on them and not let up. Best part of the night. Second best part is seeing Akron fans whining.

I enjoyed this as well.  We would sellout the Jar with ease...  We have 10,000+ multiple times a year.  The Convo is clearly a big-time atmosphere compared to the rest of the MAC, and our fanbase is major reason for that.

the JAR holds 5,500. During conf play and the BB we only had less 5,500 twice and averaged 7,385/game. I'll take a few empty seats at the top of the Convo over a full JAR any day.

I really hope Groce sticks around, but the Illinois gig is a great job.  They probably have had the most underperforming athletic department in the B1G the last few years, but the new AD is trying hard to get them back on track.  They have a huge alumni association and are the prominate state school with loads on talent (especially in basketball) in the Chicago area.  If they came calling, Groce should take it, and I'd wish him the best.

Wouldn't mind running into that Louisville team in March. They'd be about a 4-5seed, right? Maybe G-Town?

It makes me wonder what type of education they are getting over there if they think Buffalo is in Canada...

They've been running that jokes for years. They still think it's funny.
