DJ's vision has been incredible the last few games. That's got to be a big part of what's made the offense go recently.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that certain players have rediscovered their confidence. We've had a lot of standing around and perimeter passing for about 6 or 7 games. It's a lot easier to have good vision when there is something to see.
I'd also add that it seems the rest of our players are looking for the ball and making the catches on passes that have been fumbled in prior games.
the symptom re-occured tonight

Is there a reason to believe giving them the ball 15 times a half is going to help us win? Rope a dope? Every time I look up from dinner, we are handing it off.
Good analogy - I see that "rope-a-dope" style way too much - bringing the ball up the court - lacadaisical passing - slow/no motion w/out the ball.............

Wow these refs are bad for both teams. Just horrible. Seems like kent can just take the ball at will from us though. It looks like we are trying hard (unlike akron did) but nothing is working right now.
In the end - the refs were a non issue

At least his home record has improved. We played hard, but the sloppiness returned.

Win would've been neat. But now that Akron lost, I'm not as upset. I'd rather not see Akron in Cleveland until Saturday night. I'll take Buffalo.

Not enough ball movement and no support from the bigs tonight.

Hopefully we can get a W in Oxford to secure the 3rd or 4th seed.

Its not Groce's fault that Keely and Hall can't make layups.  Poor games by Keely, Offutt and Baltic did us in tonite. Not much from Taylor and Johnson tonite off the bench either.  21 turnovers.....you don't beat many teams playing like that and its gets bad when you shoot 30% from 3 pt range.  We are in big trouble when Cooper and Hall are hoisting 15 threes, but I guess that's all we got because Keely and Hall haven't learned how to make a basic layup. God how many bunnies did we miss. That was the difference. The defense held Kent State down, but we missed layup after layup when we should have erased that lead.  This time a years its on the players. They have to focus and make plays. Tonite we didn't get the job done. Must beat Miami to get the a bye to quarters and need BGSU to beat UB to get us the #2 seed.

Huh? I don't follow. In what scenario would we draw Akron before Saturday? Are you assuming Buffalo gets the No. 1 seed and OU gets the No. 4? Does Buffalo win a tiebreaker with Akron to get the top seed?

And in retrospect, if we control ourselves and only turn the ball over 10 times, we probably are all in a better mood.

Bowling Green win IN Buffalo? No chance. OU teams don't get those kind of breaks...

Buff beat Akron twice, so I'd assume they'd win the tiebreaker. (Also assuming Kent handles Akron)

Ah. I just saw that elsewhere before I read this comment. Yes, Buffalo would get the 1 seed... though there's no telling if Akron will beat Kent State.

While I would love to see the bobcats win every game and while I like to over analyze losses and armchair quarterback just as much as the next guy....sometimes you just have to admit defeat when you get beat by a team that just brought a better game on a given night....For me this does nothing to take away from our team, our coach, or even where we sit in the season.

I know the bobcats dug a deep hole in the first half but even though I hate to do it I have to admit that KSU played a better game. When Ohio came back a put the pressure on...Kent state kept their composure and kept hitting foul shots to keep the lid on things...I can only remember one missed FT by the flashes in the last 5 min.

For Ohio...on to bigger and better things...beat Fiami...get to the Mac tourney and make a run.....

You do realize we're in legitimate danger of having to play Monday, right?

If the level of play in the first half extended throughout the entire game, I'd be worried. We at least made it competitive in a game we should have had zero business winning coming out of halftime.  I feel good things coming Friday.

Why the hell do we have to play like that when we are playing on STO?    Making Steve Nix (Mix, I don't know or care)  appear like he knows something about basketball sickens me.

had to work late so I could only watch the game on the espn play by play on my phone (till it died). Don't know the game was like to watch live but watching the updates was like getting trolled-

missed 3
missed 3
turnover
turnover
turnover
missed lay up
foul
turnover
missed 3

it was maddening.

Just back from Kent, I'd of said Cant but I just Cant not when our bigs stink out he joint.   Hall drills two threes and then doesn't see the ball/court when he was hot--get the man the ball.    Kent did a nice job taking Kellogg out of the game after he drilled one early.

Worst play of the game is the Ohio assistant yapping at Ivo before an inbounds so long that Kent was given the ball and Ivo is still looking at the bench and turns and has to foul the guy coming down the lane--the assistant should be in the Convo after the bus trip and be forced to  run till the milkman comes for that goof.

Thanks for the explanation. TV did not show what you described and I was wondering why Ivo was so out of position on the inbounds play.
