My understanding is that each school is required to sell a certain amount of tickets (maybe 1,000 or so), and must pay the MAC for any tickets that are unsold. So, much like playing in the CIT or CBI, we are "on the hook" for a pretty large chunk of change. I'd encourage everyone to purchase their tickets through the Ticket Office to help offset the cost.

bobcat72, you are correct except if someone is going to be attending the entire tournament.  Though I have attended every tournament in Cleveland and only bought from the Q once, there are some advantages to buying through the Q if you're attending all sessions. 

I've always, except for one year, bought through Ohio for our sessions then scrambled to buy from other schools for other sessions.  That usually works fine but the problem is if Ohio isn't in the semis or final game, you have a hard time getting a really good seating location.  It's possible but if you want great seats it can be a little dicey. 

Normally I'm all about supporting our athletic dept.

I buy from the Q every year because I go to the whole tournament (all seven games) and I find it easier to do it that way if you are attending the whole tourney.  It does suck sitting there at the 'ship with OU gear on but most people around me ask me about our season.  I am at section 101 row 1 seat 1.  Yeah, I've kicked a couple of Kent fans and Akron fans from my seats but that's the fun part if we are not in the 'ship.

Just got tickets to the finals from a vendor at work.  This day is going quite well. 


Also, the Cleveland Groupon today is 2 tickets to the women's (general admission) and men's championship (lower ends) for $20. Offer valid Wednesday 3/7 only, it appears.
