where is the link to the live streaming? I went the normal route by clicking on the home team and that isn't working.

I don't do a lot of predictions, but  I think we will beat either team we play because of this unscientific observation I've made over the years:

Teams that lose to teams they are better than, and do so in an  away game (Ohio lost at EMU and Ohio lost at Toledo),  and then play them again on a neutral court,  rarely lose a 2nd time.

Personally, I'd rather beat Toledo.

Am I the only person who is worried about playing Toledo? They have won 6 of their last 7 (will be 7 of 8 if they win tonight). They are shooting over 40% on 3's in that time. They look like a much improved team.

We should win, but it won't be easy.

Central is hanging tough with Toledo. 33-27 after a Juice Brown triple. 1:52 to go.

Toledo 46-38 14:20 to go. I would much rather face CMU - go Chippewas

You have a few months to practice those freebies, Trey.

(Great call by Tod K. to foul.)

So Toledo it is...that is just fine...hopefully the rockets will have a little hangover after this went down to the wire...and we should be fresh...just gotta hope fresh doest =flat and for me that responsibility is on the coaches to get the team fired up...

Either way I have been very happily surprised by the feed on mac-sports vs crappy graffics on ESPN. My 4g streamed the Mac games flawlessly while at ud arena for some local high school tourney games and was crystal....I hope we get that same feed to morrow.

Toledo was very shaky down the stretch. Major break when Zeigler gagged on the free throws. Looked like McBroom got fouled while hitting the 3-pointer when CMU was down four.

Pearson sprained his ankle about 5 minutes (and 7 points) in and didnt score for another 10 minutes.  He was clearly hurting late first half.  He must have got re-taped (or some cortizone) at half time because he was back to playing well in the second half.  Although, as CMU was making their run, they did leave Pearson on the bench for an awfully long time.  The whole way home from the games, all I heard on the radio was Toledo already beat Ohio, and this is the last team Ohio wanted to see right now, blah blah blah.  Time for some revenge.

Walter and Ric

I have faith in Walt guarding Pearson, although I don't think Ohio had many answers for him the first time around. Very impressive player with long arms being one of his top attributes.

Buddy of mine beats sports a ton. Says the line just dipped up to 11? I don't get 9.5 let alone 11. Seems way too much. Oh well....glad I don't gamble.

Agree that the line is a surprise.

Lots of questions:
  • Will our guys be motivated by pride to play better than in our first game at Toledo?
  • Did we learn from the loss to Toledo earlier, after leading by 15-0?
  • Will the tag team of Walt and Ric be able to contain Pearson?
  • Will our team be rested instead of flat?
  • Will Toledo be able to handle it's third big game of the week?
  • Will Toledo's youth be able to handle a tournament quarterfinal?
  • Will Toledo be knocking down threes off passes from penetrators like Pearson?
  • Will our guys rebound better than in the first game?  Toledo whipped us on the boards.
I'm very concerned but also optimistic.  I think we give a greater effort than in our first game with UT.

Defensively... press the crap out of these guys. Toledo is athletic enough that we'll give up a few easy ones as a result of this, but we will disrupt them and quite badly if we can keep the press for long stretches (this is predicated by us putting ball in basket of course). They did not handle our press well at all in game 1, and Central gave them absolute fits with it last night.

I am also surprised by the line - it's just big for a line, but even close games can end up in double figures with FTs and a few garbage buckets.

I was nervous about playing Toledo even before the tourney started. They remind of a poor man's OU-2010. FOY point guard, dynamic 2 guard, moments of brilliance but no depth and on the verge of collapsing but on a hot streak. let's go Bobcats.
