This could make Sunday's 'kron a fun event.

Even if all the seats next to Alan are empty.
If I were Alan I would have a chat w/those "empty seaters" and make sure they get those tics to some "seat fillers". I'm sure there are MANY in the area who would love to be there in those seats if they had the opportunity........

Can't go into Cleveland with our heads too big. As we saw before, getting into foul trouble like tonight is not going to result in a W. Also, were still too dependent on the 3, but the rebounding effort tonight was tremendous and got us the big W.

To me tonight the key was CONSISTENT ENERGY - can't always hit on all cylanders - but as long as we're hittin' on most, most of the time..........and keeping the petal to the metal........

well, 'cept for that let the ball roll thing when we wanted to run clock down near the end of the game - what was that all about?????? Somebodies head not in the game/present there!

I like the WE CAN WIN OUT in all caps much better...
Me too - just hope we don't add any "unnecassary drama" to the Oscar night game......less room for mental mistakes for sure in that game.

Forget about Alan's buddies, Monroe...you know who we really need to show up Sunday?

I just posted this in the UB Game thread, but it fits this thread's subject too:

I was there. GREAT game. Horrible time getting out of the parking lot (would you believe it took me 20 minutes to get out of there AFTER getting to my car 20 minutes after the end of the game?!?)

I saw a lot to like tonight: Most obviously, it was a win on the road against a team that played us close in January and was ahead of us in the standings. 2nd, our shots were dropping. I know, I know, that kind of thing can be hit or miss, but it was SOOOO nice that we were lighting up the scoreboard for the only game I'm going to get to see in person this year. 3rd, and I think most critically, UB went on a couple runs (for instance, to open the 2nd half) where they had a chance to take control of the game/open up some space on us, but each time it happened we buckled down and fought back.

A question for anyone else who was at the game: WTF was up with the random student dance team..."eclectic beat" or something like that?

Have to thank Reggie Witherspoon for having a hand in stopping one of those.  Javon McRae makes a circus layup and gets benched with a minute and a half gone in the second half.  By the time he gets back in we are up 10. What was that all about?

20 minutes - for what, 20 cars?????

Your point about responding to the runs is right on - per OHIO - but may actually say more about Buffalo.

Actually, random student dance team - in the Convo - sounds interesting (in lieu of random "cheerleading when it actually matters squad")

My memory is that he picked up a ticky-tack foul right in that chunk of time, and thats why he got pulled, but I think i'm thinking about a different chunk of time. UB made some odd player decisions. It was really the steals and points off of turnovers that kept us in the game early, when UB was shooting hot-ish and we were not so much.

No, believe it or not the traffic was CRAZY! There was a pretty good sized crowd there tonight actually...I'd say the place was about 50% full which works out to 2500-3000 people. Given the traffic volume and how full the lots were (not to mention all the people who were dressed up) I think there may have been some other events going on tonight that ended around 9 o'clock. But no, even with how poorly the traffic flow is designed for dispersing large numbers of cars, there were a lot of cars trying to get out of that place in the 9-9:45 time frame.

Wow - that's a sad state of affairs - "pretty good sized crowd" = 2500-3000.

@Van: Yea, thats what I was thinking once you had said that they pulled him right after his basket. I got no clue.

@RS: I've lived in Buffalo (for grad school) for several years now. I've been to a few games, basketball AND FOOTBALL where 2500-3000 people would have been an improvement on what they had there. 2500-3000 isn't much by our standards, but for UB, with a fairly small arena, it fills out that concrete bunker and makes it pretty loud.

So when we win out in the regular season and dominate the MAC tourney, what seed do we get?

I'm thinking a 12. Ah yes, we could be the dreaded 12/5 for....Indiana?

(I will bump this thread when it happens don't worry...)

As I was saying, fellas, what seed do you think we get? NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY US...
