UT-Arlington gets beat and punches their ticket to the NIT. Northwestern looks like NIT after loss to Minnesota.  Washington? PAC 12 reputation would take a hit if they are a one bid league.

For what it is worth, I think the winner of our game against the Beefs tonight will determine who gets the NIT bid.  It's possible the MAC gets two but I doubt it.

NJIT qualifies for CIT with win of Great West tourney tonight and an overall record of 14-16

Oops, misread the score box.  NJIT (15-16) is playing tonight at 5 pm for the chance to be in the CIT, with a .500 record should they win.  Playing N. Dakota (16-14) in the Final.

Lamar is up in the 2nd half of the Southland Championship

winner of tonight's game goes to the dance.  Loser to NIT.  Which raises the question. Which would be better for this team?  To get to the NCAA and maybe win a game or go to the NIT and make a run to that takes us to the Garden?

No, not kidding - but understand your dismissal of the question.  Would rather win MAC title than lose title, so it is all hypothetical, but extra practices, multiple games of lose or go home pressure, is not a bad thing.  Would need to go to Garden to make it a fair comparison vs. lose round one.

If anyone does still care, his somewhat final prediction (he says seeds are essentially locked unless the Bonnies win) has Akron as a 4 in the NIT.  Buffalo falls out of NIT.

We had moved up to a 3rd seed prior to last night's game.   And I find all post-season tournaments involving MAC teams interesting so I still care.

Rumor has it that Toledo, Kent and BG have accepted invitations to the CBI and/or CIT.  Haven't heard about Beefs yet.

Looks like the MAC coaches understand the value of keeping kids playing and getting road tourney experience that can carry over into the next season.
