A thought just occurred to me, could ErocWeasel be MH55's twin brother?  There seems to be an similar "style" to their posts, minus the boas.

What a cheap shot! A poster shows up; posts some game related links that are decent, makes a few comments and you have the audacity to suggest he might be of the MH55 poster?

What is on this thread? 50 posts on some issues that has nothing to do with the Friday game. Hmmm, i thought the big deal was that we were playing in the NCAA.

Glad Doc and some others are not offended by being called OU or Ohio U.

We could always go with "a Michigan state university."  As in: Person A:"Congratulation on your second round victory. Who did you beat in the second round?  Person B: "Thanks for asking.  We beat a Michigan state university."  If you heard that conversation Eroc, you would probably think we were being a douchebag.

I can understand why you wouldn't understand our position, as you haven't lived in our shoes.  As for Brady Hoke, he knows better, being a Buckeye himself (in the loosest definition of someone born of Ohio), with a neice at OHIO and having coached against OHIO.  He is intentionally trying to upset tOSUcks and either isn't empathetic or smart enough to understand that it is more of an insult to 200,000 alumnus of OHIO.  And that makes him an oaf in either regard.

If he wanted several dozen examples of better ways to insult the institution that is our junior, he knew plenty of people that he could have called for original ideas.

No offense intended, I'd suggest sticking to your post earlier in the thread stating you would no longer make any posts on the topic, as we actually enjoy posters from opposing teams that add to a discussion, as your numerous good posts on other topics here has done.

And if you trolled here often, you would find that most of us dislike tOSUcks more than you Michiganders.

From now on, I will only refer to the team from East Lansing as, "Michigan"

What is funny is most people or you if you want to start this new saying -- whenever you say "Michigan" will still believe the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and not Michigan State.

This is Michigan for God sakes!

LOL. Thanks for breaking it down in simple terms. I love the added exclamation point. The absurdity of Hoke's remarks are evident.

Looking foward to the game on Friday. Good luck to your team. Go Ohio!

Nice read, although not accurate, in that tOSU sued us and lost.  Whether or not we should have pushed harder or countersued for a more aggressive stance is debatable.  I for one wish Dr. Glidden had been more forceful at the time.

Shawn, excellent post, excellent article.  There is one error -- OU didn't sue OSU, they sued us when we introduced the AttackCat logo with the arched OHIO.  I've written the author asking him to correct this one error.  What's even more ironic, is back in the late '60s we had an almost identical logo -- a more realistic, red-tongued cat with an arched OHIO underneath.  I had this sticker on my VW bug back in the day.

Some people are just way to sensitive eroc....I'm an old fart 70's grad and for most of us then we were and to me will always be OU.....a guy at Home Depot the other day saw my jacket and yelled "OU...OH Yeah."

I am with you, Doc.  Since re-connecting with the university chat, I am amused by the passion shown toward being called Ohio. Personally, OU sounds better and is more identifiable of our great university. "Ohio" can mean a state, a river, a university (or, to those people who think Brady Hoke is the savior -  more than one university , but I don't expect much from Michiganders anyway) and many other "things."  Go Bobcats!
