I would assume our Green jerseys since the high seed is considered the home team.  I very much doubt you will see the black jerseys in this Tournament.

Well I would bet Michigan will wear their "Maize" jerseys for the tournament as long as they can.

So I would say your Green or "black" jersey? Black when did black become your school color? Is this a "Alt" uniform?

I may be in the minority but I don't want to see those black uni's in the tournament, not even the Final.  Give me green and white, especially for all the folks in TV land who don't know who we are.  Green leaves an impression that black never will.

Hey Croc Wolf, don't worry about when black became our color.  If you would even care, black has sort of been there as an outline color so we can wear black uni's if we want to.  Just because your athletic dept isn't smart enough to think of this, why ask us these questions.  I may be wrong but didn't I see black uni's for Michigan at some point?

Why so hostile? Its not like he follows Ohio athletics, so I'm not at all surprise that he doesn't know about the black jerseys.

Sweet Jesus.

I simple ask a question and asked if those were some type of "ALT" jersey.

Michigan has never worn black. Sorry! Keep hating!

Given the proximity to St. Patrick's Day and it already being an antagonistic color to Michigan, I had assumed green was a given.

Although I love the black jerseys.....I would rather see Green.
I must admit though, The black has much more of a 'bad*ssness' to it.

ErocWolverine welcome to the board. I am looking forward to a good game this Friday.
Good luck to you and
your team. Will you be in attendance?

The lower seed always has the option to wear white or their "light" uniforms and most usually do as a visual reminder they are the better team.  Given that we are a 14 seed that will will never be our choice so I agree that its not even worth bringing our whites.  Having said that, it would be incredibly stupid to only bring one set of uniforms in case something happened.

Putting the two together, the green is the required choice, and the black is the most logical back up, which coincidentally is exactly what they did.

Just to note, we are the 13 seed :)

Yeah, who would think we would even consider wearing our school colors.

The history  of those black uniforms goes back weeks, even sixes of weeks. They are an institution. Just like the Party Rock Anthem and the school being in the semester system.

Gary Trent should've had a black jersey retired.

The blacks are fine for conference play and home games, but this is the NCAA tournament. This is a game watched by the entire country. You gotta wear your school's colors for it.

The Fab 5 started a lot of trends that are still around today in college basketball.

That was the introduction to the "baggy shorts" in college along with the bald heads, black socks, black shoes, and the Maize jersey that Michigan started with those guys.

They also didn't invent the term "vacate," but they made it cool to be erased from the record books again.

How many Big Ten titles did the "Fab Five" win?

I say let the players decide. If they feel a little more bada$$ in black, then let's wear black. Whatever gets them feeling comfortable.

And hey, black is a trendy color... maybe recruits and kids watching at home will like OU a bit more.

Nothing wrong with the green, though, if that's how they go. Fun for us to debate a bit, too. We're surely giving it more thought than the team is.

Just for history's sake and completeness they did not originate the term Fab Five........The Original Fab Five won the 1948 NCAA defeating Baylor, lost to the AAU champ Phillips 66 Oilers and then took a boat to England and won the 1948 Olympics. My good friend Cliff Barker was one of them. My sons had the opportunity to touch and hold his gold medal. Just so history is complete and accurate

Thanks for the history lesson, borna.  I always like to learn more history.

My guess, for what it's worth (not much probably) is that they will wear black for the rest of the tourney.  They beat Akron wearing black and most coaches and players are just superstitious enough that they'll want to continue wearing those colors.  Or, maybe, they'll want to save 'em for the FINAL FOUR, baby!
