It looks like Wisconsin-Milwaukee lost 8 guys to the portal in 48 hours or so.

Anybody know what the details are on that exodus?

EMU and Stan Heath just got a 6-8 transfer from Georgetown, a 3-star recruit out of Cleveland.

Some rumors have Emoni Bates, a 6-9 5-star out of Ypsilanti and Memphis, heading back home to EMU. A long shot, but . . .

This doesn't surprise me in the least. I was expecting EMU under Heath to regain some of its past glory. They will be a force to reckon with in the MAC and beyond in the upcoming years, I truly believe.

I think (and hope) it’s more likely Bates lands at Michigan instead of Eastern Michigan, but still impressive nonetheless for the latter to be in his top 6.

However, Stan Heath just got another 3-star prospect in 6-8 Legend Geeter. He is transferring in from Providence after playing h.s. ball in nearby Detroit.

Saw that. Solid portal season for EMU with Geeter + the Duquesne and Georgetown transfer. Should be an interesting team this season.

Don't know anything about scholarship players, but I'm hearing that another preferred walk-on is being added. If it's who I think it is, he's an Ohio kid who's a guard.

I hope not, a lot of useful players remain in the portal. Might just be less chaotic since the dust is settling a bit. For what it’s worth, Jamel Horton, who we’ve been linked to before the Hunter, add is still available.
