There's no way you can blame the refs on this game. They may have missed a couple timess where the ball actually tipped off a UNC player, went out of bounds, and they got the ball, but I can remember at least one call that went our way. It was sometime in the second half when Ivo did a spin move on the baseline and hit a jumper. It looked pretty clear to me that his foot was on the baseline when he made his move. Not sure if anyone else saw the same thing.
Anyway, I think the reason we didn't see more fouls called on UNC is because we simply didn't take the ball hard to the basket. I think our guys let Zeller and Henson affect them a bit too much and they became timid around the rim. Certainly we're going to get our fair share of shots blocked because Henson and Zeller are both damn good players, but if you take the ball strong to the rim you force the ref to make a call either way. If you're timid and try to finesse it all the time, the defender usually gets the benefit of the doubt. You must be agressive at all times to consistently get calls.
