I read that as he's clarifying his "It's been real" tweet.

God I hate twitter, and it's only inevitable that I one day get my own.

Reading into tweets is tough and this isn't fun at all, but to offer my opinion as I read that...Maybe he's just mad he tweeted about something that has nothing to do with #GroceWatch and got a ton of people asking him if he's leaving, then he just said "I'M" as an emphatic way to say 'Jeeze, people."

The flight still hasn't left Champaign. No need to stalk KUNI yet.

I've been completely unproductive for the better part of today.  This needs to end so my business doesn't suffer . . .

In case the Twitter fire needs some more fuel,  TJ Hall tweeted to Keely "Yes we are RT I'M not going anywhere." followed by Jon Smith, who tweeted " can I come?"

I post only for those who don't have Twitter. I'm not reading much into it. If anything, it almost seems like they're poking fun at anyone reading into their tweets.

Twitter is a great tool (especially if you're into fantasy football) but like anything else...if only taken in moderate doses.

I understand and don't all at the same time.  I understand that he probably has to take the job because the money is so much more.  I don't understand because he is leaving a great situation to go to a terrible one that doesn't even want him there.  If you were a coach wouldn't you want to go to a job where you 'moved the needle'?  I can't find anywhere on si.com or espn.com where this is even talked about.  Martin moving from KState to So. Carolina is on espn.com, but you can barely find mention of Groce on espn Chicago.  I just think that this is a bad move for the longevity of his career.  But, I can't really blame him because if someone offered me five times my salary for another job, I would probably have to take it.

If Groce leaves I hope he doesn't have the "success" that Darrin Horn had after he jumped from Western KY to South Carolina.  Leaving a successful program to jump into a hornets nest that pays more can be very stressful with incredible pressure to deliver results immediately. Horn was fortunate to walk away with $2.4 million after being fired though.

OU Airport web cam...not a good view of the "unloading" area.  I suppose we could watch the driveway for certain makes and models.  I think All-In showed Groce has a gray Toyota SUV...if gonna go all creepy on this thing...

illinifan... I apologize, I didn't mean comment that toward you. "get off my lawn" is a common expression around here when one of us is feeling cranky. I'm not mad at Illinois' fans, I just hate this whole situation.

Someone should try a Twitter update of:

"John Groce has exited Athens in a lighter-than-air dirigible, so as not to be stalked in an airplane by creepy people."

Just to see if some news site would retweet it.

In an unscientific but completely reliable survey, I have determined that Ohio hoops has a lot of attractive coed followers on Twitter.  Yet another reason to remain in Athens.

Now it all makes sense......the glider was stolen 2 days ago.....my security camera showed ninjas in blue and orange outfits.

Straight from Illini hoops twitter, today's press conference is OFF.

Might he pull a Bobby Cremins or a Gregg Marshall?

For those too young, in Cremins case:

Most South Carolina fans forgave Cremins long ago for "pulling a Bobby Cremins" on Gamecock Nation in 1993, taking the South Carolina job one day and returning to Georgia Tech the next.

Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and an ESPN analyst all posted within last hour that they're hearing Groce and it's a matter of "when," not 'if."  Sounds about as official as you could get, unless they all have the same "wrong" source?
