We host Wofford on Sunday, November 18. Two days earlier, Ball State will host Wofford.

Also of note is that with the move to semesters, Dad's weekend is no longer in conference play, but will be on the weekend of November 9-11. We play Portland on the 10th in what I assume will be our home opener. Though I will miss Dad's weekend in conference play, this should guarantee a 10K+ crowd this team deserves for the opener.

That's a much better time for Dad's Weekend. The weather is still mild in early November, usually.

I'd rather see Dad's Day during the MAC season.  But at least it coincides with a home game.

The university is using the Portland game as one to honor the Sweet Sixteen team and is doing the special tiered pricing like they did for Miami last year with the hope of having another sellout.

I love it...start the season off right and get those freshmen (and bandwagoners carrying over from March) hooked for life.

Wofford is a good team from a very respected conference the Southern Conference. Davidson is the top program in that conference but Wofford is usually among the top four in that conference. Very much like playing a top MAC team. I think they were in the dance recently.

NIce.

I always thought putting Dad's in February was to put a chill on  the testosterone levels. This is pretty good timing in my book.

FOr the record, I still hate semesters. Has been that way since I was taking classes in the 70's. Not that anyone really cares.

I haven't looked, but is there a parents weekend or sibs weekend during the winter/spring this year?

From what I've heard, Winter Parent's Weekend is dead. There will still be the traditional February Sibs' Weekend. I believe Mom's is now early April. Will be strange getting used to this schedule.

Not OOC but...Ohio plays at Miami on 1/23 and home either 3/8 or 3/9.

If in fact they have and I haven't seen it, why don't they release the schedule if it's finished?

Honoring a fantastic senior class on a Friday/Saturday against Miami. Can't beat that.

It needs to be a Saturday, and it should be done later in the day than our typical 2pm game.  This "maybe Friday, maybe Saturday" scheduling for the last conference weekend of the year is completely ridiculous.  Just schedule games for one or the other now.

TV, same as every year.  One game will be ESPN2 on Friday, if everything remains as the last few years.  So either you make every game Friday night and one is on TV, or you give the other 5 games a weekend game.  You'll get three weeks notice.

I'm fine with the TV game obviously, but a few times there have been Friday night games. Other than for television, a Friday night versus a Saturday afternoon/evening game doesn't serve any school particularly well.
