Twenty-five must-see non-conference games in 2012-13

collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/01/twenty-five-non-conference-games-to-keep-an-eye-on-this-season/

24. Ohio at Massachusetts (December 19)
Ohio’s D.J. Cooper and UMass’ Chaz Williams are two of the best point guards in the country, and they’ll be on the same court in this one. Jim Christian takes over a deep team that reached the Sweet 16 last year, but Derek Kellogg can match the Bobcats man for man with his rotation. This game will have major implications for both teams as the conversations about RPI and SOS intensify later in the year.

I think the schedule with the large number of home games is good for us as we do have a new coach and it gives time for everyone to get on the same page.  This is a new season and it also is hard to pick up at the high level we left off at. The experience of the roster and postseason experience should really help in February and March when we kick it into gear.  We are gonna be the hunted this year. We will get everyone's A game. Just like the football is gonna get as the season goes on. Even Memphis and Oklahoma know about who we are.

I'll be heading to the Robert Morris game 12/1 with my 3 boys. I live in Pittsburgh right now which is a wonderful university city. However, OHIO has already sent me letters letting me know my boys could matriculate to Athens for the "in state" tuition level since I am an alumni.

Great PR move IMO.

say what?  Have not heard this.  Does it only apply to neighboring states?

I got a letter a year ago or so. Didn't pay much attention since my boys are 4,3, and 1.

Doesnt really apply right now obviously.

Yes, if you are an alumni parent living out of state, your children can attend Ohio without paying the out of state tuition surcharge. You can live in any state, too, not just neighboring states.

Yes, but you must attend at least one game, basketball or football, in Athens per decade.

Sorry, Corky.

Just noticed that the schedule is no longer broken into three segments in-conference (vs East the vs West then vs East).  The West is now mixed in. Kind of liked the demarcation.
