Like Toledo, an APR casualty. That always makes you wonder if a team will reach its potential with no possibility of postseason.

I've always been a fan of the sprint immediately to the locker room move after a buzzer beater.  I don't actually like the move, but I like the variety it brings to celebration options.

I estimate the spread to be 15-20.
Check out Sagarin ratings.

UNC-Wilmington beat UNC-Asheville in a tight game in their opener.  They won 67-59 but it was a much tighter game than that. It was a one point game with just over two minutes to go.  They have a couple of good big guys who could give us trouble and a freshman point coming off a medical redshirt who sounds like the big strong PGs that can give us fits at times.  They are very tall with 7 guys 6'8" or bigger.

They play Richmond (another of our opponents) tomorrow so we'll know more after that.

Built to run. Time to make our pace and tempo numbers go north.

I was looking at Richmond's team for this season and this is nothing close to the team that went to the elite 8 a few years ago. I would expect UNCW to win by double figures.

Really? I would expect the opposite. Richmond returns nearly everybody from a team that was a lot better than UNC-W last year.  Hopefully it will be on somewhere.

Spider fans are pretty sure of where they should be

Anything less than a 15 point lead at halftime would be a surprise.  This is a team - we SHOULD dominate.  Not predicting a 40 point win like we showed vs. Liberty.

But we should be up 15 at halftime, and then second half involves a lot of garbage time.   Spiders win by 24 points.

More like this on their board.

Will see if I can find a link

Pomeroy has it as a 17-point win: http://kenpom.com/team.php?team=Richmond

UNC Wilmington has a kid from Teays Valley on the team.  Maybe they will bring a few people to the game.

I remember watching him when he was at Teays Valley.  It was good to see a local kid go to a D-1 school.

Richmond just dropped 101 on these guys. I can't wait for our game against Richmond, that will be a good one. This one should be relatively easy though.

So the first prediction of the year blew up in my face. That's why they give us a whole season to get better. Looking forward to the game against Richmond this year.

Reading the Seahawks board it looks like Cooper could have some fun on Friday.  They have a trash talking point guard (Tanner Milson) who sounds like he's pretty volatile.  I'm predicting that he takes a swing at DJ before the game is over.

Takes a swing at COop?

That may be worth bidding on Slavin's seats just to hear the friendly repartee.

I do not expect any PG's DJ faces to get the better of DJ on the court or talking trash on the court.

I hope every team has a player who talks trash to DJ. It's like an adrenaline shot for him.
