Is it just me or do we absolutely own the A-10? Anyone know our record all-time?
We're 67-56 overall all time against *current* A-10 members (2012-2013) and 3-6 against St. Bonnie.

I would like for us to stay in the MAC for football, but I would love to see our basketball in the A-10 or join with other super teams (Marquette, Butler, Xavier, UC, etc.. and form a conference.

Well then go get 'em!

Here are the AD phone numbers:

Butler: 317-940-9878
Marquette: 414-288-6303
Xavier: 513-745-3417
UC: 513-556-4603

You might want to give him Andy Katz's number while you're at it.

Are they divided into East/West Divisions? It looks like they are all in one division of 16 teams.

In football if you have 12 or more you split because you can't fit several schools on the schedule ans play a title game.  With 12 it works on basketball and several other sports because you play home and home in the division (10 total division games) and one game each (3 home and 3 away) for 16 total conference games.  If you have 16 schools the best solution for most sports is to play balanced schedules and play everyone one and you rival twice.  Divisions would just complicate the matter.

I think it will be fairly tough inside the paint tomorrow. I think we need to hit at least 10 3's and a decent amount of FT's to win - hopefully not all in the 2nd half............

I disagree.  We did hit 10 3's against Richmond, but we only hit 9 FT's.  I don't think we need that many against the Bonnies.  Not with the way our D is playing.

Yeah, this is the worst feed I've ever seen us have. It is more or less unwatchable.

I came in here to ask the same thing. It's like watching a stop motion video.

The feeds have been bad this season, but this is by far the worst

I'm not one to complain about something that's free, but this video is pretty brutal. Hope they can figure this out.

Glad it's not just me.  I complained to Stretch.  Don't know if it'll help.

Wonder if the kids at the bar in Olean watching this are wondering if they've had too much to drink?

It's been pretty bad all year for me.  Tonight was the worst it's been but it hasn't been great any game.

Out rebounded 34-27, 10 3's indeed hit, 13/20 FT's - 65% (not really "decent" - sure seemed like we missed a bunch of key ones).

Anyone complaining about the Bonnies being on the schedule got schooled tonight...........

And we better be taking Bobby Mo just as seriously..............

Ohio 107, St. Bonaventure 112

Preview | Box Score | Recap

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP)—Andrew Nicholson had 44 points and 12 rebounds, and St. Bonaventuresurvived the longest game in school history to beat Ohio 112-107 in four overtimes Saturday.

Nicholson, who topped 1,000 points in his career earlier in the week, scored five of the first seven points for the Bonnies (6-3) in the final overtime for a 106-101 lead with 52 seconds remaining. The Bonnies made 7 of 8 free throw attempts in the fourth overtime but only 6 of 18 in the first three extra periods.

The score was tied 17 times and neither team led by more than 10 points.

Demetrius Conger added 23 points and 12 rebounds, Michael Davenport had 19 points and Ogo Adegboye 13 for the Bonnies, who won for the third time in the past four games.

D.J. Cooper had 43 points and 13 assists to lead the Bobcats (6-5). Tommy Freeman added 17 points and Ivo Baltic had 13.

I expect Cooper will be fired up for this game!  We should be thankful how far OUr program has come in a few years.  I expect the results on Wednesday will tell the tale.

I

I bet Cooper slept with a smile on his face last night.  He did not score 43 points again but that final three point shot was amazing.

I agree, this series must continue.  This could be a good start of a nonconference rivalry.

Some post-game thoughts:
  • That 3 by DJ was one I won't soon forget.  Who knows, that one shot could end up being the difference in us being at-large worthy or not at season's end.  Normally, I don't like the 5 feet past the arc jack it up early approach, but he was open...and our offense was struggling to mount many attacks to the basket, so why not.
  • It seemed to me the offense did not move around as much tonight, a little more standing around.  Perhaps this was just a product of SBU defending well and having a good gameplan.  I just felt like there was more flat feet and less passing last night than the other games.
  • DJ had 8 assists, and about 4-6 were just flat out awesome...especially the pass to Jon for the dunk to take the lead at about 1:20 left.  His assist totals dropped last year and I think we are going to see them go back to where they were his sophomore year..and this is a very good thing for our offense.
  • Jon held on to the rim a little bit too long for that big time dunk...the refs were on the whistle happy side and I was definitely worried he would get a T.
  • It looks like Stevie's minutes this year will exactly = 40 - DJ's minutes.  I don't believe we have yet to see a time when either both or neither...always one or the other.  And for this season, I agree with JC's approach on this.  Stevie does a good job while DJ rests and we are lucky to have him.
  • Only 10 minutes for Reggie following 12 minutes vs Richmond...and this is before K Green.  Ivo & Jon have been great, but so has Reggie for the most part.  And soon we'll have to add K Green to the mix.  I don't envy JC for having to manage this, but it is a good problem to have.
  • 4 blocks for Jon, a couple of which were awesome.  And he has been staying out of foul trouble for the most part this year while being as aggressive if not more in defendng the paint.
  • Another 31% turnover rate, now at 33% for the season...Tops in the nation and it isn't real close.  I know we've been home against mediocre opponents, but if we can keep up the trend of our opponents not even getting a shot off 1 our of every 3 times they touch the ball, even lackluster offensive showings can win us games.  We kind of saw that tonight.
  • We still aren't rebounding real well.  I hope Kadeem helps us in this department more than anything.
  • Ivo and Jon rarely attack the rim like you would expect in-the-paint big men to do (like Leon, Tillman, Hunter, etc).  Don't get me wrong, I love what they both do, but it is a part of the game we are kind of lacking in...Another reason I was surprised to see Reggie get only 10 minutes, because he can do it and I think we needed it.  I also hope Kadeem helps us in this department.
  • I am really happy we got thru this home stretch 6-0...I half expected us to have a letdown in 1 of these games, and at times I thought it was going to be last night.  Like others have said, I am glad they got this experience of having to grind one out before hitting the road.
  • I had a really bad pretzel last night...I texted this to B-Love during the game, but sadly he did not respond.

Concerns here. He was losing the handle on the ball (historical issue). Getting beat on rebounding position/block outs, getting beat on turns. Visibly frustrated. I think he needs to get focused on fundamental executing, stay in control. Zero in on the rim. JC looks quick to pull him if he slips, and Green on deck. I hope he has some good production per minutes played next few games and turns it around - I think this is a mental issue right now, hopefully a "phase" that he gets out of.
