Bonnies look a little better than advertised, but this is a game we should win without too much consternation.

I seem to remember playing four overtimes against them and them shooting 48 free throws and us shooting 24. And us never getting into the double bonus in the second half even though the second half was as long as a normal game.

This game will be another very good early home test before we hit the road for a few more big games. Hopefully, our perimeter defence stays consistent.

I really do not know what to make of this St. Bonaventure team. They have not blown out any of the lesser teams they have played so far. With that being said they were predicted to finish 4th in the A10 this year. I do not think they are a better team than Richmond but I do think they will be a tough challenge for OUr bobcats.

So we're playing the teams in the A-10 predicted to finish 5th, 10th and 11th in the conference...

You're correct. My apologies, I was looking at 2011's predictions. That is what I get for trying to be productive on a Monday.

If we go 3-0 against the A-10, they should be required to let us into the conference and kick out Fordham.

Are they divided into East/West Divisions? It looks like they are all in one division of 16 teams.

Will this be on any local channels?  I'm going to be in Chillicothe at B-dubs and won't be able to come down.

Not to get too far off topic, but it's time to gear up my annual lobbying to get rid of divisions for MAC b-ball.  None of the big conferences have divisions, and the other conferences with divisions put us in meager company: Big South, Ohio Valley, Southern and Sun Belt.  Now that a division champ isn't guaranteed a bye in the tourney, there's no reason for the MAC to have them anymore either.

Ohio 107, St. Bonaventure 112

Preview | Box Score | Recap

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP)—Andrew Nicholson had 44 points and 12 rebounds, and St. Bonaventuresurvived the longest game in school history to beat Ohio 112-107 in four overtimes Saturday.

Nicholson, who topped 1,000 points in his career earlier in the week, scored five of the first seven points for the Bonnies (6-3) in the final overtime for a 106-101 lead with 52 seconds remaining. The Bonnies made 7 of 8 free throw attempts in the fourth overtime but only 6 of 18 in the first three extra periods.

The score was tied 17 times and neither team led by more than 10 points.

Demetrius Conger added 23 points and 12 rebounds, Michael Davenport had 19 points and Ogo Adegboye 13 for the Bonnies, who won for the third time in the past four games.

D.J. Cooper had 43 points and 13 assists to lead the Bobcats (6-5). Tommy Freeman added 17 points and Ivo Baltic had 13.

I expect Cooper will be fired up for this game!  We should be thankful how far OUr program has come in a few years.  I expect the results on Wednesday will tell the tale.

The way I read that, it was St. Bonnies longest game in school history? Was it also our longest game ever?

According to OUr records we also had a game against Akron on 01/08/03 that went to four overtimes.  We won 112-104.

We had a 4 overtime game against Akron in 2003, so at best it tied our record.  I believe that was the crotch grabber game.  Ironically, 1 week prior to that game was the 104-101 (all in regulation) win over St Bonnie on New Year's Eve.  I came back early from break for that game and it was awesome.  Brandon Hunter had 24 rebounds.

I believe this makes 6 games against St Bonnie in the past 12 years.

I went to this game with my dad and sat next to Tommy Freeman's dad. Amazing game and experience.

Probably the best game I have ever seen. Too bad OU lost, missed on multiple last second chances to win the game.

I would like for us to stay in the MAC for football, but I would love to see our basketball in the A-10 or join with other super teams (Marquette, Butler, Xavier, UC, etc.. and form a conference.

I think it will be fairly tough inside the paint tomorrow. I think we need to hit at least 10 3's and a decent amount of FT's to win - hopefully not all in the 2nd half............
