Walt's dunk was insane.  It seemed to get others to start playing with more energy as well.

Liked the energy Watler brought at times today and we need to get him going to end of last year form.

Did we stick Ricardo on the Robert Morris guy who went off on us, can't remember?  Nick & Walter play solid defense, but they've been lit up against the RM guy and today.  We need to stick Ricardo on these types of guys from the get-go, or as soon as we see it's 1 on 5 and one guy is going to self-destroy us.

I've been following OHIO hoops since 1984.  I can name you my favorite players of "my all-time," but I don't think I've ever had a least favorite player list.  I think it's fair to say Ivo starts my list.  He's driven me and drives me crazy.  Honestly, why are we starting him right now?  Until he figures out what we need from him and shows he's committed to doing it, I think I sit his butt and hope he figures out we're sick of it.

The good:  we came back hard in the 2nd half and won.

The not so good:  Bader for Oakland is good but other than that, they were not impressive; this one should not have been in doubt 6-8  minutes into 2nd half.  Home wins don't tell us much since we always win at home.  Today, at least, I saw no identity for this team...do we hang our coat on defense or dribble penetration or inside-outside movement or ??  Football has had not much in the way of consistent playmakers this year--hoops?

I thought today's game was much better played AND COACHED than the score indicated until the late run...and more importantly the late non-scoring drought by Oakland.  Coach Christian said it was a 9 minute period when Ohio held Oakland to no points.

I also thought that DJ played well today.  He had 3 turnovers that I remember when the person he was throwing it to was stopped from being where the ball was headed. (a trip, a hold and a stopp ed move).  If some of the open shots early had dropped DJ would have had a monster day  of assists.

The kid that scored 29 points...he couldn't miss for a while.  He made some shots with a very quick release.  The problem wasn't the defense after getting the ball it was letting him catch the ball.  Still a problem but he did not make a bunch of wide open shots it seemed to me.

I really like some of the subtle changes that were made on both ends of the court after some tough periods of play.  Not so happy that those tough periods happen but liked what I saw today deal with them.

That is my 2 cents worth.

Ricardo made the difference today.  He shut down Bader after nobody else could.  The 24-2 run at the end came after Bader went 4-4 from 3 pt range to start the 2nd half.  That guy was on fire.  Ric did a nice job locking him down.  It would have been nice to have him available at RMU.

Didn't get to see much of the game, but did enjoy what I saw.   If only the Bobcats always went on 20+ to 2 runs every time I turned on the streams...
