Herd's best player, Deandre Kane, is likely out with a hand injury.

They're pretty tall. They start three guys 6'8'' or taller and they have two more 6'8''+ guys coming off the bench. They also start two 6'4'' guards.

One of their starters, Elijah Pittman, was a high school teammate of our own Ricardo Johnson. I think we were interested in Elijah as well.

Judging on how our season and their season has gone, this is a game I hope we can win by at least 10.

The way we've played lately I'm just hoping we can make it a close/fun game. I don't expect a

I hope you're right.  I'd like to see this one be a 15+ pt lead by the half, extended to a blow out.  There's no other team OU plays often besides Akron that I love seeing our guys beat more.  I'm looking forward to getting back into the Convo.  Haven't been since the Winthrop game and need a good dose of a day in Athens.

I watched Marshall play Cincinnati a few weeks ago in Charleston. Marshall didn't have top player DeAndre Kane and hung with Cincy until probably 10 minutes remaining, then UC pulled away to eventually win 72-56. UC hasn't played the most difficult schedule in the world, but they are rather good nonetheless. I was impressed Marshall hung as well as they did.

From the UC-Marshall AP story on that game, "Marshall committed 20 turnovers, made just 14-of-27 free throws and was outmuscled in the paint where it was outscored 40-16. The Thundering Herd shot 39.5 percent (17 of 43) from the floor."

Without Kane, I expect Elijiah Pittman and Dennis Tinnon to be the main threats for Marshall.

Marshall's problem this season has been offense as evidenced by this week's 53-51 home loss to Delaware State.

With all that being said, I don't expect a 10-point plus victory as some have projected, though I do hope for it.

The March 2012 team looks to have returned to Athens to start the new year.  Hopefully we keep this up the entire MAC season.  Heavy amounts of forced TOs leading to points.  IMO, when we play like this we at are at our best. Go Cats.
