McCrea is still a beast. They have graduated a lot of guys over the last 2 years. I really do not like this program, especially this prick who took the time to go up and down in front of our fans clapping his hands in their face following the 2011 meltdown. Most classless thing I have witnessed in all my years of basketball

I hope we bury their arses in the quite sure way we just did Marshall and I can watched their fan board melt down.

PKRHDs

Still looking for a bit of payback.for these cheap shot artists.

Speaking of refs in the Marshall game., it is about time we got Larry again. Wondering if this game will be his turn to come back to the Convo? He was the one that reviewed the tape above and deemed it incedental contact. We have only had him once this year after seeing him 15 times in the last 4  beginning with the Xavier game and most recently with Hampton. Refs going toe to toe and backing down coaches is not my cup of tea. I am hoping we get a good crew as this will be a pretty rugged game.

Is there a reason they start the conference season mid-week? Seems like most of the schools would appreciate an extra Saturday conference gate and to not risk one of those lackluster Wednesday night duds that every team is bound to have at some point in the season to start the conference off.

Good question. Everyone has a bye the Wednesday before the Bracketbuster games. They could have eliminated that and started the conference season this upcoming weekend, rather than during the middle of the week.

Maybe they will start on a Saturday, since we'll have one more OOC with no Bracket Buster Saturday going forward.

Bummed I have to miss this game - out of town in Toledo for business event that was impossible to schedule other date. Will be driving from and through those northern Ohio Bobcat radio (or any) wasteland during most of the game (hard to even get a BGSUcks or Sprockets station up there). I bet I spend 50% of the drive scanning the dial to see if and when I can pick up the Columbus affiliate, texting my son at home for score updates.........

My tics though in long time, good & faithful Bobcat fan hands. Those who know me, also know him - he was unable to to renew his season tics a few years ago (very unfortunately). just make sure he gives more grief to the Beefs and refs, than to the Bobcats when they have a lapse (he can be pretty vocal............but you gotta love him)

I love this app.  I use it 5 of 7 days a week.  I tuned into the Creighton game last night on it in the office. It's also useful for listening to the coaches shows since those aren't available on most Ohio Radio network stations.

Students NOT back yet.  Might be a sparse crowd tonight...I hope not.

Line was 13 1/2 this morning in the Dispatch.

I was kind of surprised that Akron is favored at home by 14 over a pretty good WMU team.  Vegas thinks Akron is the best team in the MAC right now.  Ohio gotta get that turned around soon.

Beat the Beefs!!!

Also, STO's rerunning it at 5 a.m. and noon tomorrow.  Maybe earlier; their online program schedule starts at 3 a.m. for some reason.

As Jason Arkley points out in today's Messenger, turnovers are a major key for tonight's game.  Statistically, this gives Ohio a major advantage.  We'll see if both teams follow their tendencies tonight.

For some reason, most seasons Buffalo has a lot of problems with committing turnovers, but they usually force a fair number of them.  Ohio is one of the better teams in the nation at forcing turnovers...hopefully, this will result in many possessions for the Bobcats tonight.

Rebounding is an area where the Beefs have a big advantage.

Ohio plays like this every night and we will run the table in MAC.  Great game by all involved.  No obvious deficiencies.  I'm guessing even the pretzels were good tonight.

Well, the peanuts were extremely salty and difficult to open...

Seriously though, we looked good, but without Oldham, McCrea probably had to be Mr. Everything on offense for them to have a prayer and we had him in foul trouble all game. DJ was his usual self. Reggie's ability to dig his position deep and seal his man was a flashback to the Leon days. I was also encouraged with Ivo's game in the halfcourt. He made a conscious effort  to put the ball on the floor and move to the basket. It didn't always end in a shot at the rim, but it kept the offense moving.

Western Michigan on Saturday. A win in Kalamazoo would be extremely encouraging for the future. Christian said in the postgame that his Kent teams didn't play all too well up there. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Buffalo should be glad JC pulled the starters with 10-12 minutes to go in the game.  We would've had 110 (points, that is).

Anybody know when was the last time Ohio scored 50+ in the first half of back to back games?  I'm thinking maybe '09-'10 when we put up 99 back to back vs Buffalo and NIU.

Impressions of Green? In the 8 minutes or so he played he had 3 fouls. Extremely raw talent, I hope he fills Keely Shoes next few years to come.

Green fouled out. He has a nice, soft touch, but McCrea ran circles around him.

Ten turnovers - 9 made threes - that'll work.

I just got an iPhone (finally getting rid of Blackberry) - will be the first app I put on it! Thanks!

Friends were texting me updates - sounds like another good performance. I did not pick up the Columbus radio affiliate until 5 minutes from home - in time to hear coach post game interview and hear JC talk about Ivo - something to the effect of "he is running the right lanes - not running out to shoot the 3". YES! And great to hear Reg interviewed as player of the game. Inside/Bigs steppin' up - just what we need! I think coach and team getting dialed in.............

Kadeem's game was ugly tonight.  I've never seen someone rack up 5 fouls that quickly when they weren't fouling on purpose at the end of the game.  He single handedly made the game last 10 minutes longer than it should have because the refs kept blowing their whistles.  His jumper was awful and he really struggled defensively.  He made a couple nice shots around the hoop, but those four minutes didn't convince me to start anxiously waiting for him to come in the game in the near future.
