Some will try and tell you to watch out for Jordon Crawford, but don't listen to them. He's a poor shooter and a turnover machine (I know he killed us at BG last year, but that was an aberration). We should eat him alive.

To me, taking Calhoun out of their offensive game is the most important thing to do to stop them.   I want to believe we should run them out of the Convo Saturday by 25 points.  Past year's against BG are stopping me from expecting that. Hopefully we'll be able to follow Arkon getting a loss at Millett before a Bobcats victory.

I expect the paid number to look like 9,500, with the real crowd around 8.500.  I'm lookin' forward to getting back into the Convo.  Bringing a couple alums that haven't been able to get to a game in 4-5 years.

Didn't we lose to BG on a Dad's or Sibs weekend a couple years ago? I wanna say 2010-2011. I feel like I was there.

2009.

One of the ugliest Bobcat games I've ever been to. I think Ohio shot something like 25 percent from the floor.

That whole season was just...blech.

That game went down to the last seconds, right?  Wasn't that back in the Jerome Tillman days?

Not only that but later in the year we lost at their old arena, then they knocked us out of the MAC tournament too. 0-3 that year against BG, oy.

Living up to your name, eh?

It will be 9-10,000 ish...but not 12K+. There's only been maybe 12-15 games all-time with that sort of crowd. Most involving either huge opponents or very special days (Gary Trent ceremony, Sweet 16 banner). This isn't either.

12,000 is me living up to my name.  10,000 isn't.. I'd be surprised if we don't see 5 figures for this one.

Going to have to retire DJ's jersey tomorrow if we want 12,000.  10k sounds manageable.

Falcon fans on AY-ZIGGY-ZOOMBA must be chalking this up as a loss already, they have not even talked about it! Another poor situation in MAC basketball..

8,000?  10,000?  12,000? Five figures or four?

Anyone see some of the attendance numbers from around the league Wednesday night? More than one in the 3-figures range. It's possibe that Ohio's combined top two draws this winter will be more than some schools' season attendance numbers.

His TO rate is actually better than DJ's.  Crawford averages 3.4 TOs in 34.9 minutes per game, or about one every 10 minutes of playing time.  DJ's is 3.6 TOs in 30.6 minutes per game, or about one every 8.5 minutes.

They just don't have the balance we do.  They're basically a two-man show; Calhoun and Crawford combine for 30.9 of their 66 pts a game.  We have three double-digit scorers -- DJ, Keely and Offutt -- who combine for 36.6 of our 77.9 pts per game. Calhoun and Crawford are on the floor for 35 minutes a game each, which shows their reliance on them; DJ and Offutt lead Ohio with 30 minutes a game each.  Keep one of them in check and you've pretty much neutralized BGSUcks.

EMU stands at  total attendance of 11,882 through 13 games (average of 914).  They're on track to surpass the attendance of the Ohio/Portland game (12,194) in their next home contest vs. Akron. But by all means, let's keep them in the conference.

Hence why I've started calling them Ypsilanti Community College.

Ah yes now I remember. I was remembering it wasn't a year we went to the tournament. I thought it was the year after, but it was before. That game was awful. If I'm not mistaken we were down two, late with the ball, and ran a horrid inbounds play. That was during the Bert and Ernie days too, wasn't it?

No, Groce's first year. That was the only good year BG's had under Orr.

Imagine if the Akron game was played on ESPN2 at 5pm on a Saturday with a blackout promotion in which either everyone gets black shirts or first couple thousands. That game would be reaching sellout numbers.

I understand the football team will be honored at halftime today.  We need a boisterous OU, Oh Yeah cheer for them today. What do you think?
