Stop Kyle Randall and you've beaten the Chips. I expect to see a lot of Walt and Ric on the senior point guard. CMU can't stop anybody, so we should have as easy a night as you can have on the road.

86% FT shooter that has been to the line 141 times. That is impressive...farand away the most utilized player on the team......seems to be the most efficient even with a marginal  41 and 37% shooting from 2 and 3. Shooter that gets plenty of volume.

Yeah, he's pretty much their entire offense. A quality player, and not easy to stop, but he has struggled some in MAC play. Then again, Akron couldn't do anything to slow him down Tuesday, so that potential is there.

Road game in Michigan on a Wednesday night in February is what bothers me.

Valid concern. But I have confidence these guys can do what they need to do. They have so far in conference play.

Let's just make sure we don't disrespect some random assistant coach.

You guys beat me to it.  I was reading up on the Chips last night.  I was amazed to see the number of times he's gotten to the line.  Watching him almost single handedly keep CMU in the game against Akron last week is my only concern about being able to stop him.  And I echo the slight concern about a weeknight trip up to Mt.Pleasant.

My guess it will be Walt and Ric guarding him.

We should get a huge game from our front line.  Against Kent they started Hibbits (6-8) and Simon (6-7) and everybody else was 6-2 and under.  The only other big who played more than 10 minutes was Mbaigoto (6-6).  DJ might push the single game assist record.

Every one CMU plays will shoot from the outside. Hibbitts and Simons both have taken the majority of their shots from 3-point range. Point guard Chris Fowler is the least likely player to take a 3-point shot. Randall and Hibbitts are the only ones who have been decently accurate, yet nearly half of the team's attempts come from beyond the arc.

Ohio is a 10.5 point favorite.

Akron is a 8.5 points favorite at EMU.

More importantly, I hope they don't have a petty robbery near campus 10 hours before the game starts.

I like that we all have a thing from this season that makes us mad.

I bet Walt is OK with this decision.

I wonder if his fear of flying is at all related to being in a confined area with Stevie Taylor for extended periods of time?

I know CMU isn't any good, but I continue to be amazed with the Vegas lines for us and Akron.  I cannot remember a season at all where we were favored on every road game (sans Akron), and in some cases by double digits even.

Translation = MAC is atrocious

Agreed.  The MAC has two teams who are really good this season, two teams who are good and eight teams having years to forget.  Of course, all it takes is for one of those eight teams to get hot for three or four games in Cleveland and the rest of the season is forgotten.

we've lost our last two time in Mt P, in '11 91-85 and in '09 76-69 after the game was postponed 24 hrs due to weather. Last win there was '07  74-73.

I hope we get up early and stay up.
