I love fans who defend the poor backing of their team. Classic.

Ha ha ha ha ha.....our arena was sold out.  AND, WE WON!!

So by your logic, you are all losers since you had nothing better to do than attend a basketball game.  And by the way, we had more than double your sellout at our last home game.  I know, I know that's because we had nothing better to do while you have the thriving metropolis of Akron to keep your fans away in droves.  Well except by your statements is sounds like you did attend belying your earlier claim that you had so many other things to do.

Van, leave them alone.  They all #ThinkBigger, so they don't have time for Akron Basketball because there are bigger things going on in Akron.

Go easy on her fellas, Zeke's mom has had to wait 3 1/2 yrs to find a reason to talk smack to a fan base that averages a higher turnout then their best showing ever.

Let's see the Zips come to Athens and lose by less than 25, and then we'll be impressed.

It is a shame how the Bobcat student fans acted during and after the game.  Verbally attacking senior citizens is not my idea of good sportsmanship.

I sat a two rows behind the OZone, and did not see any of this (Not saying it didnt happen, I just didnt see it.  At the beginning of the game they stood.  When the fans, especially those with kids behind them, asked them to sit down, they did.  The only times I saw any "trash talking" were with the 30 year olds talking smack to them, and the Akron fans bumping into them and staring them down.  Compared to other traveling fans, especially the Rowdies that came to Athens last year, I thought they were fine.

If you want to talk about shame look in your own student section. An organization that allows a kid in a speedo to be front and center on national TV (especially after the strip show he put in in Athens last year) has no shame.

Hilarious. A Zip fan lecturing about rude behavior.

I've had seats a few rows behind the visitors bench since '94 and Akron fans (and coaches and coaches' families) have consistently been the worst behaved group to visit the Convo.

Mrs. Zippy, when our coach's wife comes into your arena and screams at a couple of little Zip kids and makes them cry, come back and let us know. I saw Mrs. Hipsher do that to 2 Bobcat kids. Or when our coach and assistant coaches start trash talking and insulting your players from the bench while the game is going on, come back and let us know. I've seen Dambrot and his crew do that. I've seen parents of your players try to pick fights with Bobcat fans sitting in the rows behind them, and I've seen players on the Akron bench turn around and mouth off to our fans as well.

Should our students be rude to senior citizens? Absolutely not. But I think you need to go lecture your own fanbase (and coaches) as well.

Luckily, we in Akron have more to do on a Saturday night then attend college basketball.  Akron, unlike Athens, is not located out in the middle of no man's land!!

Yeah, like stay out of the gang territory, lest you get shot. I wouldn't start bragging on Chapel Hill Mall and Quaker Square is dead. I grew up near Akron. My graduation was at EJ Thomas. What, exactly, are the great things going on in Akron that isn't going on in Athens or anywhere else?

Ahh the old "Ohio has good attendance because Athens is boring" argument.   Never gets old.
