borna--what's your experience as far as the kids realizing the true level of their talent and their attitude about their parents' oversized expectations?  I'm guess that most of the kids are sure that they're gonna play in the NBA.

I was full-sized in 8th grade so sorta dominated but I knew that I really had no talent at all.  Pops played hoop at UMich and was a terrific softball player but beyond offering the occasional advice (box out!) was concerned about academics, not hardly at all about sports.

To be fair, Treadwell played 40 minutes at the Convo Wednesday night, but nobody else played more than 34, which is a lot but not excessive.  And her precious Zeke was in for only 30 minutes, thanks to his foul trouble.  If you look at our guys, DJ and Walt were both in for 39 minutes Wednesday and they started slow vs BGSUcks, but still had big games.  And Keely was in for 37 minutes Wednesday then followed it with 21 pts yesterday.  Plus she said they flew to Buffalo instead of bused, so it's not like the trip up there was that strenuous.  They should try busing to Mt Pleasant.  She sounds a bit like the mother of an ADHD kid who was on my son's fall baseball team last year.  He got booted for cussing out an ump and she blamed the ump for not giving her son special consideration because of his affliction.

You know, I was pretty upset to see Akron lose.  Had we beaten them, we would be the top dog in the MAC right now.  Now, we're left in second knowing that we could be in control of our destiny.  The sting from Wednesday's loss is that much worse now.  Dang, only a bounce at any point...

Glad to see that Momma Zeke is cut from the same bolt of cloth as Grandma Hipsher etc. and is keeping the long blue line of classy Zips going.  Was kind of nervous that would die off when Hipsher left but my fears have been quelled! Let's hope she is passing the torch to a new generation since her pride and joy is a senior!

They had NO TIME to really prepare...

How does she expect the Zips to fair in the tournament, where you play two games in three days?

It's fine with me if she's feeding Zeke this mindset for next weekend.
