Akron almost lost at home to Buffalo and now they trail at Buffalo by 7 with 6 1/2 to go.  Doesn't mean much as far as #1 seed goes -- since we lost both to Akron, we need to win out and they have to lose out for Ohio to get the #1 seed.  But since we're at Buffalo next week, it's something to keep an eye on.

Let's hope they blow their steam in this game and come out flat against us!

Chalk that loss up to Dambrot being outcoached.

Looked like Dambrot was about to rupture an artery in his head at the 3:00 min mark.

Zeke's mom is going ham over on the Akron board, I don't think she appreciates their fans blaming the players for the loss. Here is a portion-

SHUT THE HELL UP and think about the team, who I am sure are DEVASTATED AND HURT! The fact of the matter is they were EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY drained! They had NO TIME to really prepare...before having to get on a plane and fly to Buffalo. Zeke is VERY, VERY SICK...can't take no freakin medicine...THANKS NCAA...slept the ENTIRE day in order to try and be semi-energized for tonight! Probably 90% of you have NEVER EXPERIENCED what THIS TEAM just allowed ALL OF US TO EXPERIENCE! Get over yourselves and lets support this team...because the truth of the matter is next week will be the LAST TIME ZEKE MARSHALL, BRIAN WALSH AND CHAUNCEY GILLIUM EVER PLAY IN THE J.A.R. and all you guys can do is bitch and complain!

It's not your fault.
I know.
It's not your fault.
I KNOW!

THis is just like a big and growing % of parents at any given Summer ball or AAU tourney. THank god most of them get sorted out and reach their max level of Jr High or High School ball or get tossed for grades, drugs or just because they are really not as good as the P's think they are before they get to college. Unfortunately like the tv show "Basketball WIves" .I think that one involving Basketball parents would be more shocking.

I have to take a minute to appreciate Clark and Rosie, Stevie's P's, Ms Tillman, MOm and Pop Walther, JOe Mac, Leon's Dad, DJ 's Fam and all the P's around here who are pretty level headed. Kudos to them for being gracious, loving people who fully support their kid and the U with great pride and sportsmanship at home and on the road.

Mama Zeke is a coach's worst nightmare.

DOes anyone else find it amusing that Akron was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO drained after battling to a win in the COnvo? Character shines through in times of adversity. OUr guys were dinged up too. No Excuses, no quarter given. SHut up and play the game.

How does she expect the Zips to fair in the tournament, where you play two games in three days?

As always, insightful, astute, and rational.......not bad for aging Hoosier who has taken in a few basketball games.
