I can't think of a better way to get the crowd going Saturday than for DJ to feed DMac on the wing and for him to nail a three.  His leadership on and off the court has earned him a start in his final home game.

I agree 100%. And put Ivo back in the starting lineup. All five of these men have earned the right to start in their final game in the Convo.

I bet (and hope) we'll see all 5 seniors starting on Saturday.

This NEEDS to happen.  I understand taking each opponent seriously and playing to win until everything is buttonned up...But it isn't like D-Mac is a liability out there - He is a good smart player.

I had a dream last night that Nick was suspended for the Fiami game because he got into a fight at Buffalo (I was watching ND/SJU highlights right before bed....), and DMac started in his place.

Every one of these guys has absolutely earned the right to start this game. This class (with due credit to those around them, before and after) has been nothing short of transformative and deserve a great crowd to take their last bow in Athens.

Residence halls don't open up until Sunday morning, but I hope some upperclass students make their way back Saturday afternoon for this one... Would be awesome if some would open up their couches to underclassmen interested too.

I'm ending my spring break a day early to come back to Athens to watch the seniors play one last time at the Convo.

It's been amazing to be at OU during the same four years as this group of guys and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else other than the Convo on Saturday afternoon at four.

Heading back early Saturday morning to get back to Athens on time.

And I also agree with all of you. We 100% should start all five seniors in this game.

They have done so much for Ohio basketball and deserve to be recognized.

Even if you sub out at the first stoppage, it'd still be quite a gesture and the fans and players would love it.

I want to go, but I don't want to waste the gas.  Only live an hour and 5 minutes away...

This is what I said about Providence in 2010. Lived to regret that one. You will (in all likelyhood/hopefully) never get another chance to see these 5 on that floor. I don't know where you are, but find a carpool, split gas, try the Ride Board, take the Go Bus and hope the driver doesn't hit the president's car or go on a tirade on local TV, but get there any way you can.

I hope a number of other students do the same.  Curious question - is the 110 going to be there?  That makes a difference in gameday experience.

Damn Semesters. If I'm unable to watch the game in person. Is it being broadcasted on STO?

Hope to see DMac get the start as well. I'm making it an Athens weekend. Pulling in Friday night and spending the evening at the fine Court Street establishments :)

Refuse to be honored for 4 years of hard work and getting some recognition in front of the crowd? Whatever. I vote for starting all 5 seniors as well, its a fitting tribute to each of these five seniors' contributions to the university over the last 4 years

YOU DON'T KNOW ME

I never said anyone should agree with me or even suggested Mr. McKinley do the same. I suspect this is all hypothetical anyway, as my money would be on a normal starting lineup.

What about a start, but a sub at the first whistle?

seriously?

I usually am not one to offer opinions in situations like this as I do not know your situation but if that is the reason then you really do not WANT to go. ....there are some things in life that can be overcome with a little thinking outside the box

That would be the most likely thing to happen if he does start all the seniors. I'm just guessing that won't happen.

Reasons to start all 5 seniors this weekend:

1) It's Senior Day
2) They're the winningest class in Ohio history
3) Miami sucks
4) We are already locked into our MAC tourney seed
5) Miami sucks
6) You can make subs at the under 16 timeout if you really want to
7) They've been a huge part in transforming our basketball program over the last 4 years
8) They deserve to be recognized together as a group
9) It's Senior Day
10) Miami sucks

Reasons NOT to start all 5 seniors this weekend:

1) JSF would refuse it.

This is literally a no-brainer and I'll be disappointed if they AREN'T recognized by all getting to start together in their last ever game on Richland. Duke and Coach K start every senior on senior day and they have a lot more riding on those games than we do in this one. If they are willing to honor their seniors under those circumstances then we have no excuse not to as well.

Get it done JC.

Edit: It's also worth noting that a lineup of Cooper/McKinley/Offutt/Baltic/Keely doesn't even require a single player playing "out of position". Coop at the PG, DMac at the 2, Offutt at the 3, Ivo at PF and Big Reg at C. I'd go so far as to say not only would I START that group, but if we have a comfy lead in the 2nd half I'd let that group of 5 get some serious run together to END the game as well.

These things don't agree. And I never argued against the idea. I was just speaking about me, personally, and how I would react.

I actually think DMac can hold his own against Miami. He has been an integral part of the team for four years by being a consistent, reliable practice player. Playing him more than usual is an admirable way to publicly recognize his contribution to the program over the past four years. Giving him more minutes during his last game in the Convo does not patronize him at all.

He'll do whatever the coaches ask of him, because that's how he rolls.
