The company I work for has more than 12 at least casual OU fans/alum who are Crew fans. The younger crowd that lives around Columbus are definitely into the Crew.

As well as some of us in the older crowd.

I was in Graff's corner for most of my life, thinking soccer wasn't really a sport. Until about 18 years ago when my daughter started playing. As I got to learn the sport and followed my daughter from youth soccer through 4 years of high school varsity soccer I grew to appreciate the beautiful game. And the Columbus Crew has risen on my list of favorite teams, right behind Ohio football/basketball and slightly behind the Reds (but not much).

Go Crew!!

For Bobcat fans that are not soccer fans, at least it's a better excuse than missing a game in the Convo because of a Pink Floyd cover band.
Soccer isn't even a real sport, but this statement is still true.
What?
What? I didn't even think saying soccer isn't a real sport was a hot take. It's just a universally accepted truth.

Cross country with a ball played by folks who werent athletic enough to play football hoping for 1 score every 3 matches. And a clock that isn't really a clock and is super secret and only known by the officials.

I also don't enjoy watching people run on a treadmill for undisclosed amounts of time.

Without question, your dumbest take of the year.
+1. I'm not a soccer fan but I don't bury my head in the sand. Seems he's beyond clueless.

I'm hoping the "Pink Floyd tribute band" in reference to playing at Mem Aud was Dark Star Orchestra. They are amazing, I've seen them many times. Bout time they made it to Athens!.I would like to see 6,5-7,500+ in the Roundhouse this afternoon. It IS my favorite rivalry, besides Fiami. I hope they bring 1,000 people. Nice afternoon, no football + double header with the Lady Cats. I hopewe have a good turnout-->a good W.

I wouldn't go to a soccer game if it was free but that's just me. Different strokes for different folks.

Now back to the intended topic of the thread.

Bobcats are favored by 9 with the over/under at 161

Marshall is 2-6 having played one ranked team (UK) and giving up 118 points in that game. They played one MAC team (Fiami) and lost.

Leading scorers are Keyvon Voyles (6-3 senior guard) and Obinna Killen (6-8 senior forward). Nate Martin (6-8 junior forward) has impressive rebounding and shot blocking numbers.

They seem to have more talent than the record would indicate.

What happened to Dark Star being a Grateful Dead tribute band?

There is a link earlier in the thread to set 1 of the Mem Aud show. The night before that Floyd show, a really good "Floyd band" out of Cleveland were at Kemba Live in Columbus and sold out the house as well.

What, no Taevion Kinney? He's been leading the Herd against Ohio for the last 8 or so years.

A win today in Athens could eventually give some credit towards an NIT birth. Please don't get a T Wiz. As you may get tempted. And yes , the Black and Gold have had a remarkable trip to the Cup. Hope they have a good match. I looked at tix when they came out<$200 /ticket. I'll take 7,000 today in the Convo

So many things can be dissected from this one. But one thing is clear….AJB is a liability and complete mess on the floor. If he’s not healthy, sit him.

Absolutely embarrassing end to the game today. 69-62 lead with 2:20 left and they let Marshall finish on a 12-0 run. Unacceptable final few minutes.

We're a last second 3 away from losing 3 straight at home.

Sound the alarms.

This team isn't very good.

Rob Cornelius, in today's pre-game, said something about the rims in the Convo not being kind the last few games. I've got news for Cornelius, it has nothing to do with the rims being too unforgiven, too hard, too cruel, or any other term to make OUr shooters the victims.

I hope AJB hasn't packed his bags for Gainesville yet. Where is Ball State Brown? This team has a bunch of Bean Willises on it. No offense. Ike has disappeared. EJ reads his headlines and has to stop. Clayton solid in spots but no low post threat kills us.

Went to Kent-CSU today just to compare as I went to OU-CSU as well .... BIG DIFFERENCE.

I'll leave it at that.

Some of it was home court (KSU) advantage, but Kent most likely wins that one home or away.

And that Kent team is pretty young ... especially off the bench.

Between the portal circus and watching this team the last several games, I may have to look into kickball.

Ohio should not be losing a home to these type of teams. We scheduled a soft schedule and still can not win. This isn't osu, uc, Xavier or Dayton. We should be beating these teams especially at home. We are playing down to the competition. So for this teams had been a disappointment.

All I have to say - that was a crap effort down the stretch. We really hope we can wake up and take this 9 day break to have a coming to Jesus moment. I hate to be ranting but I’m done losing to people we shouldn’t lose to. I blow my voice out EVERYNIGHT for these guys and they give me this? WAKE. UP.
